Greetings Fabulous People

Up a half to 136.5. I think its due to PPP (poor potty performance)

Sounds like everyone had a good weekend with fun stuff. Paula, so glad that things are going well for DH and hope that continues. And isn't it fun how dogs are always so glad to see you upon return (even if you just leave for 10 minutes).

Liz I hope little Chiquita will be ok. Our old Liza managed to decorate the carpet last night like a Jackson Pollock painting. Sad to see them age.

BB sounds like a fun party. My younger brother owns one of those margerita machines that he got when he had some big party. Better to rent. Sorry your step kids have to go through so many step dads.

I learned two new words at Scrabble yesterday. One is rouille, a french sauce, and the other is shairn which means cow poop. We had some good games and I scored over 400 in one game. Many played games outside on the deck but I stayed in out of the sun. It actually kind of got hot!

Yep, most of us need to learn more patience. Diane O has the right idea. I am not a touchy - feely person but I do think negative energy is to be avoided and not produced if possible. Easier said than done.

Hey Carbon, we have loads of black berries too, mostly resulting in purple blobs on the cars.

Take care of your skinny selves. Diane S

206.2 but my son has lost another 10 lbs. since getting out of the hospital! My weight will drop soon if I stick to the plan.

We went to the racetrack yesterday and I invited an elderly client/friend who used to go to the track often but no longer has anyone to go with her and she has had health issues. It was very relaxing and a lot of fun. My friend has no appetite and did not want to order lunch. After looking over the options, she said the steak looked good but there is no way she would be able to eat such a large cut, it was expensive and she didn't want to waste it. When I offered to share with her, she leapt at the offer. She said she ate more than usual because it was so good. She only ate maybe a quarter of the steak, but I did not eat much more than her. I wrapped the rest for to share with my son for dinner tonight. He will get the baked potato, which will make it a full meal for him. Oddly, she and I were able to finish the shared chocolate cake without a problem. Thank God that I was sharing because it was so good and I had enough to enjoy it and be satisfied without any temptation to have more.

The leftovers, relaxation and fun were a win, but we also won money! There were people betting hundreds of dollars, probably thousands, but we bet mostly 50 cent trifectas (boxed is a $3 bet) and 10 cent superfectas (boxed is a $2.40 bet). We were consistently winning and were a little above even. The biggest win was $32 until the big race... I won both the trifecta and superfecta for a total of $253.60!

So glad you had a fun day, enjoyed steak and won with the ponies! Or is it dogs? Either way a fun day. We have horse races at our dinky county fair and sometimes they race mules! Diane S

Hi all! It is the last day of July. Always a sad day for me because it means my summer is coming to an end. In the old days when school started AFTER labor day, I didn't mind the end of July. Now, going back to school in mid August makes the end of July a little bit bittersweet.

Ella's puppies are almost two weeks old. Blue's pup is a week old today. I am still down 2 pounds from the whelping. This is good. I am not focusing on lowering my weight any at this point. It's just not "in me" at the moment. However, I do appreciate being able to be thoughtful about choices and maintain my loss over the past months without too much effort and difficulty.

Lots going on for everyone and it seems we are all dealing with our "stuff" in a positive way. Hmmm.... amazing how the work can pay off, huh?
