If you could get reimbursed for the ticket and the room, then maybe you should stay home. Since you can't, I say live your life the best you can. There is no danger, and distractions are the best medicine for morning sickness and pregnancy.

If you get sick or tired, rest in the hotel room. Your sister would have to go it alone, but at least you may get some time there with her. It's your sister, you won't be a damper! Nibble saltines (I know they're a slider, but this is an emergency). I heard that the smell of fresh roses next to your bed ease morning sickness. I don't know if it's true, but it sounds good. Also, weightloss surgery friends may have good advice and definitely lots of support.

Ask your doctor about Diclegis, which combines vitamin B6 and the antihistamine doxylamine. The main ingredient in unisom. It is pricey. The RX is time released and used as prevention taken at night. Some people are using the over the counter ingredients but they are not timed released.

206.0 Daughter moved from ICU to a regular hospital room. Doctors think she had a virus and she may go home tomorrow. I picked up my grandsons last night, fed them and put them to bed by 9. They were exhausted. It was hard waking them this morning at 8 for baths. My son is in a partial care program which is more intensive than prior programs, so hopefully it will do some good. I was late to work, which is so bad, but uh I'm in the middle of a flippin tornado here.

I bought bagels for the boys to bring home with them. I got myself a buttered bagel. No reason, no forethought. Dumb! I was mindlessly eating it when I passed "Devon Street". I put the bagel down and decided that if I really wanted it, I would heat it up and eat it for lunch. I thought about why I caved and why I wanted that thing all morning and decided that I really did want it. I ate it on my terms at the time I specified and with turkey on it, and logged it. Thank you Devon! Your powers are great.

Way too funny about Devon street. I'm going to use that, somehow.....give me time. Joey, I have been looking for a suitable hike to call "For The Love of Monkey's," as I think of you. It has to be full of zigs and zags, trials and tribulations. I haven't found it yet.

Had to spend most of yesterday with a young relative who needed some company and a kind ear to download to. Was so happy to do it. But it meant lunch at a Mexican restaurant and the Mexican food leftovers last night. Boy, eating out sure can limit the number of available veggies. Anyway, no biggie.

All is good here -- hot, but good.

Regarding the tutu photos y'all wanted to see ... here's the deal. I'm on the down-low about my VSG and don't want to post any photos of me here at OH. Those of you who are FB friends with me already can see my pix there. And if anyone else wants to be a FB friend with me, just let me know via PM, and I'll arrange that. I'll eventually get a tutu photo up on FB -- maybe the tutu with camo leggings and the Pikachu sweatshirt. ;)

BTW, this morning to yoga class (GREAT class -- very vinyasa, lots of sun salutations -- the yogis and yoginis here know what all that means) I wore a short "skater skirt." Available on sale right now at JCPenneys for $12. :) I'm going to turn into one of those old ladies who wear the craziest outfits with pride and maybe a little panache. I can think of worse ways to wind up. :)

I think that's all the news from here.

Guard your skinny and your summertime cool.

Greetings Faithful Ones

We are back home and I have a quiet moment to myself with a glass of pinot noir while DH drives 35 miles to pick up Tesla the terror. Flights were uneventful and timely. Its such a relief to be home and back to our little corner of paradise.

We were in the midwest and it was hotter than hell. One of the worst weeks. I just can't take that anymore. That and on top of a zillion things to do it was draining. I ate what I wanted and tomorrow will face the music.

Joey you really are in a tornado. Wish you could get some relief. Sending positive thoughts.

Liz, hope the car thing is ok.

Devon have a cigar (bubble gum).

Shel, take a hike!!!

So there is some national thing about tutu tuesday where people wear tutus to work. Probably not widely observed, but it used to be observed at our clay studio. Tuesday at 2 pm was clay mixing day so it was 2 on Tue hence tutu tuesday.

New flowers are blooming in my absence. Yay.

Gallery duty tomorrow. Have to clean up tonight and scrape off all the grime from midwestern heat and airports. Dogs glad to see me.

Paula goot luck with DH surgery and insurance and heed the call to take care of yourself.

Again, so good to be back. Diane S

I'm glad you are back in your paradise. It sounds like you were doing the right thing last night and taking a deep breath, relaxing and enjoying a glass of wine.
