Hahaha! Beat you Liz! ROFL! Only because I haven't yet gone to bed! With only 5 pups born so far, bed is a long way off. I thought what the heck, while I'm waiting for the "Whelping Break" to finish and the whelping to resume, I thought I'd post.
My dinner was two pieces of pizza - small, thin crust slices, but still... When Ella was ready to finally eat a little something I fetched her her vanilla ice cream (for whelping purposes. REALLY! It's recommended. I swear! Look it up!). Naturally, I decided that I should join her.
Now, I'm sleepy, sleepy! Nodding off....
Happy Whelping Wednesday! What good fun!
BB....about fatigue. I once commented to my OB that I didn't seem to be able to act on a nesting instinct because I was so tired. My OB immediately asked me to think about the people that I was comparing myself too (neighbors, sister) and then asked me to think about how many hours a week they worked outside of home (none, none, part time) and then think about my own work schedule (obsessive 40 hours plus) Working full time plus baby is going to make you tired.
Until just this moment, I never considered how that fatigue perhaps affected appetite, too. Fatigue plus pregnancy hormones = cravings squared. Anyway, get some rest, girl!
Gary Taubes has a short article NYT's about carbs and cravings. I didn't see anything there that I haven't read here.
Have a great day all!
Shel

Weight around 159.6 but how should I say? I think I may be introducing prunes to my diet
Yesterday I felt less at the mercy of my hunger. So even though it may not LOOK like good eating, it was less impulsive.
Calories about 1900
B: piece of zucchini bread, coffee
L: cup of chicken noodle soup, half side salad with blue cheese, croissant
S: Fiber one chocolate chip cookie, half bag of funions (because they're lower calorie than the rest, at least)
D: Taco salad
D: 1/2 single dip sundae
Writing it down it still sounds pretty indulgent :D But portions were fairly small, and I did have salad for lunch and dinner, right?!
Happy Whelping Wednesday.
Puppy breath is the best. It would be impossible for me to give Ella ice cream and not get some myself.
Wt 219 Been waking in the night and eating. I have never done this my whole life. I am too much of a sleepy head to eat in the night. Now my sleep is a little messed up and that is most likely the cause of my recent gain.
Dog sitting for DS#1 this week is going well. The boxer has an eye infection so 2 types of drops 2 times a day and because he gets out and runs into things he has to wear a collar of shame. It is too big for him to get out the doggie door so frequent runs to the house to let him out. It is not far.
Doors came in yesterday so I am hanging them today. As far as me being busy... this is they way I used to be. In 2005 I had a break and haven't done much since. Months of sleeping. Waking eating repeat. I have tried all kinds of pills and potions but nothing works for long. I have gotten more done in the past few months than I have over the past 12 years combined. I pray that this level of activity continues.
DS#1 has a Festool circular saw system. It is out of my price range especially at my age but I have been playing with it the past couple of days. It is really fun to try out.
More Later, David

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the puppy pictures!!! Especially the one with Ella. That puppy face!
116.75 - eating okay. I was at the office today and enjoyed chatting with people in person (and getting dressed up - I can wear jeans but prefer to get dressed up a bit when only going in once a week). I do find myself zoning out in meetings already when they are discussing stuff I don't care about or won't happen until after I'm gone. Another layoff yesterday with 1-2 more affecting groups I work with to come. I can't wait to get out!

Oh, oh, oh, the puppies, the human baby, Diane's coming home, and Dave is a one-man construction zone. You guys rock!
Busy day here today -- I'll be back with details tomorrow.
It's so hot here!
