- Yikes!
While my son was hospitalized, he met a young bodybuilder type of guy with similar diagnoses. He is not supposed to make friends with other patients, but they are going to the same intensive outpatient program and have made friends nonetheless. This guy wants to train my son because he senses that my son is super strong and it would be an incredible transformation for him to lose the weight that bothers him. My son started walking today, has talked about it with some other friends and started eating healthier while he was hospitalized. A very sick female patient called him "Chris Christie" several times which was upsetting to him because the only thing they have in common is weight. My son is tall, weight proportionate and blonde. However, another female patient told him she thinks he looks like Ryan Reynolds, which has inspired him, because there actually is a resemblance that will become more pronounced as he sheds the weight.
So now is a good time to join yoga with him!
Wt 220. Up again. Going to have to dial the nuts back.
Sleep was awful last night. Thankful this doesn't happen often. Normally sleep too much.
Got the closet shelves in and painted. Doors should come in today or tomorrow. The shop in the woods is shaping up. Next is the storm room.
Dog sitting this week. DIL away for CE's.
Diane O, congrats on the Reiki master.
Diane S, hope family time is drama free.
Kairk, Sad to lose a puppy but you could see it coming. I lost a calf tube feeding it a couple of years ago. Best of luck with the new dozen.
More later, David

Liz, new car shopping is one of my favorite things.... Weird, I know.... there was a time during my 40s *** you might call it mid life crazies) during which I bought new cars like some people put on clean underwear! LOL. Not really, but close to it! I had a BMW 325i SportWagon with the premium package, sport package and winter package and I loved it! But then, I got my big boy Jackson and he didn't fit so well, so I traded in for an SUV, then a bigger SUV, then and even BIGGER SUV, the switched to a mini van. Kept that for a couple of years and then traded that one for the newer model. That one I kept and it's now 6 years old! Clearly, I had cross addiction issues! LOL!
LOL! I love cars but hate the shopping. I thought I had bought my last dream car, but here we go again! The car lost 30% of its value in 14 months (HUGE ouch).

- I seem to love buying cars too. We have had several over the years. I don't work on cars so I always tried to have a newer one. I really want a truck but my son has one that I can borrow anytime. Don't need to buy one. Just a want. We have a Honda Pilot that we have kept longer than most. It is 2009.

Busy traveling day here, so I'll catch up with my daily metrics tomorrow.
Very late in the today (long day traveling to the Big City today) I just want to say hello to Diane in Nebraska -- sounds like you're doing as well as can be hoped for. And yes, it is melting here in the Midwest!
Congrats also to DianeO on your Master Reiki graduation. Woot, woot!
Will catch up with everyone else tomorrow. Sounds like it's a good day for all of us.
Guard your skinny, as Diane and others say.

Having a heck of a day! Lordy!
I started to do a post, but I guess I never finished it because it's not here. So....
weight up 1.5. Ate like a carb maniac yesterday and very few calories of true nutritional value....going to own it, and I understand why: puppy death, Ron's exhaustion (takes it out on me..), phone line issues for uterine monitor, flat tire, 3 vet visits in 24 hours, impending puppy births, etc....
Today has been the opposite: I have no appetite and had to eat around 2:00 because Ron insisted. Had an ounce of chicken and a couple TBS of salad. Then I ate the yogurt and berries with chopped pecans. That's what I wanted all along.
So, now I sit at the tire shop waiting for a fix. Hopefully. The ATT tech has arrived at the house and is installing an old fashioned land line. Progress and technical advances DO NOT always make life easier! The fact that simple sensor data cannot be sent over a DIGITAL phone line amazes me!
Pics of the day..... Lovey the French Bulldog with her smaller, but healthy and vigorous brood and Ella on the cool marble hearth last night. (Ella reminds me of a penguin in this pic. Imagine a penguin body sledding down a slope....can you see it, too?!?!?!?!?! LOL!)
Ella looks ready!

Excused for eating after a puppy death. I felt your pain and almost drowned it in ice cream. I didn't, but I sure did think about it. I even mentioned it to my kids. My daughter's dog had three litters of puppies. She was thankful she never considered that they would die, she would have worried herself sick.
