Saturday July 15
I'm always the early riser! No weight today as friends are in the scale room. We went to dinner at DS's restaurant and I had the tuna tartare appetizer and could only eat a third of it. I did have a few bites of DH's chocolate cake though...
The car appraiser called yesterday to tell me the car is a total loss. He said he had to total 10 cars this week due to the flooding and a local Honda dealership lost 48 cars submerged in their lot. Crazy! So I need to find a new or slightly used car, hopefully as close to that car as I can get as I loved it. I have to go to the dealership this morning to get any remaining stuff out of the car, so I am going to be meeting with the salesman I worked with last year. I don't know yet how much the insurance company is going to give me, but I want to figure out the value and what it will take to replace it.
So that's the news here. Much less interesting than puppies, husbands eating well and gaining energy, pregnancies and other positive health changes!

Liz, I'm glad you're an early riser and appreciate you every time you get the day going for us. Congrats (sorta) on your car being totaled, since that's what you originally hoped for after it was floaded.
Doing yoga in the park this morning -- learned about this class recently. Some of my yoga class friends are going to try it out. More yoga can't be a bad thing, eh?
Another hot day coming. The good news is that even the grass is starting to loaf-- and stop growing.
Wildlife stories to report ... our screen porch has two doors, which we keep closed. But somehow a wren found her way through the screen-flapped cat doors to nest in a small, empty vase and to lay, at first, two eggs and now a third egg! Any mom that determined to raise a brood gets our support, so now we are leaving a screen door open. This morning before dawn, hubby saw the wren fly out the open door, but "down low, like she was heading through the cat door." This could get interesting when the little birdies hatch.
And yesterday afternoon we heard some bobcat calls in the nearby woods. I heard them again this morning before dawn. Nice to have them around. FTR, our cats have passed, so no house pets are endangered.

No wt for me either, I weight in the evenings these days because the scales are in the bathroom in the shop.
Liz I'm glad your car was totaled because fixing them means tearing them down pretty deep to change sound proofing material as well as replacement for all the electronics. Even then connectors decay and give trouble for the life of the car if it is not done correctly. We have a dealer that specializes in salvage cars from the town we recently moved.
Pantry done except for the door. They should be in Monday. I'll see if I can do the closet today.

I'm glad that Mayo wants to do this. I'm sure you'll be able to get insurance to agree!
