VSG Maintenance Group
Wednesday July 5
I'm in the office today for the first time in a month. Even though traffic was light I will NOT miss the commute!
Weight 116 (-1.5), calories 958.
I am worried about our almost 16 year old chihuahua (Chiquita). She is eating okay and good when out on a walk, but seems to hide in her bed a lot lately.
Happy Hump Wednesday!

142 OTD, holding pretty steady even though food choices have not been good. I'm very thankful for my restriction because at least I can't over eat the bad food choices - quantities still pretty small!
We will be heading out to meet with the surgeon today and see what he has for a game plan for DH.
Tomorrow we leave for our long weekend away! Yay!
Liz, sorry to hear that Chiquita is starting to show her age. It is hard when they start to decline!
Best of luck for your meeting with the surgeon. Enjoy your getaway!

Oh boy! I just read your Caring Bridge update and then came on here. I understand why you are ill at ease! While I'm thrilled for you both that there is "no cancer", the 3 level in the esophagus would concern me, too. Like most people, I have a "Get it out of me, NOW!" and better safe than sorry mindset. Cancer is so terribly scary. I'm so very glad you have the second opinion appointments already scheduled. I just wish for your peace of mind they were tomorrow, not next week!
Your attitude of letting it stay in the hands of God is great. What is going on in Ben's body is out of any human control.
Thinking all the best for you, Ben and the boys!
Good morning!
Yesterday was terrible for food! Onward.
While I grumble about my neighborhood's firebug tendencies, I have to say the quality of fireworks has really improved over the decades. Flashy, giant, high up in the sky, bursts of color in every direction. Lovely. The guy with the 1/4 sticks of dynamite didn't show so that made me happy. He seems to be in charge of their current foster dog so maybe that changed his perspective.
I'm sorry to hear about Chiquita. Paula, so glad the surgeon appt is finally here! Fingers crossed for good news and a date.
Day off. Feel sluggish. Must hike!

Greetings Festive Ones
Hope the 4th was good for all. Shel, glad you had good fireworks and not just explosions. We went to a street fair and then toured the dunes. Watched the 4th on tv as well as our nephew who was live streaming his personal fireworks display on Facebook. Lit a whole box of sparklers at once. Kids these days .... He is 33.
Good luck with the surgeon apt. Paula.
Liz sorry about your old dog failing. We have a 16 year old as well. We put Tesla on some drugs last night for the fireworks. She was actually much more pleasant and we got her toenails cut!
134.5. Off to tour the redwoods today. Diane S
NO CANCER IN THE HOUSE!
