It is nice to have a Monday off, especially with nice weather. We will probably go to the beach today. Very different beach than in Aruba!

Weight 115.25, calories around 1500. We went to a cookout yesterday and I had a lot of stuff I normally wouldn't but in small quantities. Weight drop is largely due to productive bathroom time in the morning.

Quick holiday post -- lovely weekend, but likely to be a rainy July 4 here. Worked hard yesterday cleaning up a field that we let a neighbor hay this spring and some trails. Still more to go, but much was accomplished.

Good morning!

No hike today. FIL asked that I attend a meeting with him, DH and doctors at the hospital today. He has some terrible decisions to make. I have little to offer but if my presence helps then I will go. Still, because I am selfish at core, I spent time feeling sorry for myself that I am losing "my" day. But, the truth is that my hiking interferes with my ability to get stuff done at home and I should probably spend the day here, anyway. And, compared to what my FIL is facing, losing a day of hiking is nothing. Nothing at all.

Liz, you have many beautiful beaches in your life. Sounds wonderful!

DianeS, I frequently think of you and your kiln in these early hours with coffee by my side. I'm always looking forward to opening the day and seeing what comes out.

Greetings Early Birds

Well I am up early due to house guests. 135. Took Tesla for a long walk yesterday to wear her out for guests. Didn't work. She is wired. Here's to hoping the sun comes out as today's plan is scenic views of the ocean.

Dogs are thrilled to have guests. Various misadventures but nothing serious. Here's hoping for a week of fun. Diane S

A quick drive by post for now! Have a client coming in a few minutes...

Weight is down 2 pounds, which makes me a happy boy. Today was supposed to be my "Get Serious About Losing to the Next Decade" day and then I realized tomorrow was the 4th! LOL! So, I'm compromising. I will still be diligent today, which will include a visit to the gym, but give myself some leeway for tomorrow.

Have to start a new list. This is a good thing! YAY me!

Down .4 - just normal fluctuation really.

Will eat good today but have Wisconsin bratwurst on the menu for tomorrow. High calorie as they are at least 50% fat, but oh so good. I only allow our family to have them twice a year and I will only eat one!

Not sure if we will do fireworks or not. I guess it depends on if the "kids" want to go. I enjoy them, I think DH would prefer to just stay home.

Planning out or 4 day weekend. Some fun places to eat and some fun activities. Will even try to get some good exercise in!

Have a fun 4th if I don't back here before it is over!
