Good to hear you made it through the biopsy Ann. Your mowing costume description gives quite the image. Hey good to play dress up. Diane S

Greetings Time Travelers

Yes, the year is going by so fast! 135 today which works. Had a fourth of a patty melt last night as hubby's leftovers from lunch out. Most bread I have had in a long time.

Paula I was so glad to read that surgery for DH is on the agenda and there is much hope. And I am glad you have a birthday weekend trip. Much deserved R and R.

Shel hope DD gets the Starbucks job. A young person can learn a lot about the working world there. Eager to hear about this weekend's hikes.

Liz, I bet you and your analyst start a retirement trend. Repeated reorganizations have a way of starting those mass exits. So glad you are proceeding. For two years after retirement I felt like I was skipping school every day. Going to the grocery store at 10 am on a Tuesday felt like such a luxury.

Hey Joey, glad DD's surgery went well. We are all hoping the transplant works. Sorry your jeans tore. Just when jeans get soft and comfy and wearable it seems they fall apart. I guess you can't block emails from your ex's wife because of the kids but geez, why do people have to be mean.

Studio work yesterday but I missed the gym. Will get there today. No excuses.

Ann, hope the biopsy was not too unpleasant and that results will be good news.

Yoo hoo, Dave and BB, where are you?

Why do people have to run weed whackers for hours at a time? So hate that sort of noise.

DH is out walking the neighborhood with Chip. They have become familiar figures and he is friendly and likes to chat and let kids pet the dog.

I was pleased to find my SIL eats frozen breakfast sandwiches which saves me from getting up and cooking. We are planning various day excursions including the scenic drive, the cheese factory and victorian village, Avenue of the Giants and the quaint town square. I think I mentioned my SIL is not highly mobile so we won't do the hiking trails but there are plenty of places to sit in redwood groves or look at the ocean. Maybe a look at this one big heather garden.

Peace to all. Diane S

Weight back down the 2 it was up yesterday. Whew!

Great workout yesterday. I felt strong. I like that feeling.

Had the worst time with late night cravings. All I wanted was to eat sweets. Luckily, the sugar free popsicles and no sugar added Fudgesicles were available. I also had a serving of yogurt with blueberries and a TBS of chopped pecans. I also spied a bag of peanut butter chips (from an ice cream party Ron had for his chorus kids at the end of the year). I got into those and ate about 2 TBS. So nothing really "over the top" bad, but it was frustrating to feel so in need of eating when I wasn't at all hungry, but NEEDED to eat. It's evenings like that when I'm aware the Vyvanse effect is gone for the day. Must work on strategies to deal with that horrible drive to eat.

Working on my "To Do" list - slowly but surely crossing things off. It is interesting as I get farther into my 50s how much more efficient I am when I have a list written out of things to do, rather than relying on my memory only. I wonder why that is. I know I am not alone in this. It is so easy to let a day slide by with little accomplished when I don't have a list to keep me focused. Hmmm....

Liz, hope DH gets the drug and not the placebo!

Ann, glad the boob recovery is going well. If you're mowing, you're doing okay!

Shel, hoping for a new barista in your family!

Paula, again great news about Ben's treatment!

Joey, glad that DD is doing okay after the surgery. Hope a donor match is made soon!

Diane S, enjoy the visit with your brother and SIL. It will only be a short while...

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Devon, I am TOTALLY into lists! Honestly, lists have helped me build a more productive, healthy lifestyle -- especially in retirement, without the often overwhelming schedule of work appointments and deadlines.

A lifestyle is nothing but habits. Just habits. Done over and over and over again. Does that make me compulsive? I love crossing those things off. It's a little like yoga / meditation. Do A, then B, then C, then D. Check!

Actually, my list is actually much, much longer than that. ;)

Me three! Our "family" lists are now on a central board in the kitchen so DH can find them and refer to them (calendar there as well).

Any chance that taking the Vyvanse later in the day would help with nighttime cravings? That has always been my danger time too.
