DH loves Swiss chard. We used to have a neighbor who grew it and would give us lots of it.

Greetings to my Band of Skinnies
135 which is down. Feeling good about it. Off for a haircut today which I really need. I look like a sheepdog. Shrimp as asparagus last night. A good healthy dinner.
Liz good on you for deciding to have the retirement conversation asap. Its the best thing for you and family and the fair thing for your company. Hope it goes well.
Wishing you the best Ann on the biopsy. One time when Negative = Good.
Another clouded over day here. I am enjoying some gallery free time for awhile but it all seems to bunch up at the end of the month.
Paula glad you had good family time with son and with co workers. It really makes a difference to have good co-workers vs toxic ones.
DH has taken dog Chip for a walk and Tesla is fussing. She will get hers.
Shel I am still sitting on my azz and looking at all the junk that has to be picked up or cleaned before guests arrive. Makes me want to go read the newspaper. Oh well, always tomorrow. Think I will do the gym today which makes little sense with a new hairdo. Peace to all. Diane S
It's so late to check in, I momentarily thought, "Oh, should I bother?" Then I thought, "Sure! Why the hell not?" LOL!
Weight was down 1.2 today. Good. Last night we had a lovely dinner at home. I ate of 3 oz. grilled flank steak, fresh salad, and 1/4 cup of Trader Joe's frozen Mexican corn. I sat down to read (a kid book of all things! - Quite a good series, though. It's called The Land of Stories, written by a young-ish author/actor, Chris Colfer, who got his big break on Glee... but, again, I digress...) and got a call from my Pop just before 10 asking me to take him to the ER for a bloody nose that he couldn't get to stop. Nose was cauterized and I got to bed sometime around 2:00 am.
Had 2 clients today and in between did chores.
Shel, I thought of you yesterday as I worked out with my trainer. We upped weights and I was so, so pleased by the ease with which I was able to manage the added weight. I'm understanding now how important form is and how to monitor myself during my workouts. While the weight does not sound impressive, I am doing 95 pound barbell squats with absolutely no back strain. I did ..... count them ..... 13 pull ups in a freaking row! And I am doing single arm dumb bell flies with 50 pounds (talk about having to use your core to not fall off the bench!), reverse calf raises with 45 pounds, and finally I did four sprints across the gym pushing the sled loaded up with 200 pounds. I did three sets of that and was a heaving, sweaty heap at the end and I LOVED IT! Boy, were my hamstrings sore this morning - but in a good way!
Best wishes for tomorrow, Ann! Thinking only the most positive thoughts for you!
Until tomorrow.....
Well, I am glad you posted. Inspired, I threw down my mat and did some of my home routine --- added a bit of hand weights to my lunges and squats. And by a bit....I mean maybe 10 pounds total. So, imagine how impressed I am by the weights you mentioned! In what world do you live where that isn't impressive? Was there Rocky music playing while you pushed the loaded sled across the gym? Amazing.

Hehehehehe! I was talking about the weight with the squats only. Women generally have so much more innate strength in their lower bodies than men that they can do squats with a lot of weight. I watch some of the very fit women at the gym and am continually impressed by the strength they have in their legs!
It sounds like you are doing great with the eating and the exercising. It must be paying off!
