It is too bad I'm not at goal weight. I'm doing such a good job at keeping a tight 2 pound swing! LOL! I am down a pound this morning - the bottom of the swing. Like Liz, I like going into a "travel/dog show weekend on the low end. Gives me a little wiggle room.

I'm leaving late, but it's okay. All I'd do tonight is hang out in the hotel room, so it doesn't really matter when I get there. I just don't want to be stuck in evening commute traffic. I'm pretty sure I will be able to avoid that.

Probably won't check in until Monday, but who knows. I will have my phone with me, so I can always check in that way.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Edit to add: I just read Ben's Caring Bridge entry. More waiting. That's got to be so terribly difficult for Paula, Ben and the boys. My heart goes out to them all!

I pray that all the waiting for Paula and her family will yield the results they need.

Devon, thanks for noting Ben's Caringbridge post. I just went and read it -- yup, more waiting. Paula, sorry.

Yes, waiting seems to be the name of the games for now. A bit frustrating. I think Ben is handling it better than I am!

Greetings Sunny People

Wow Liz, its the boy and girl from Ipanema on the beach! Glad you are having a good time.

136 today. I weighed at the doctors yesterday office not bothering to take off clodhopper shoes and the scale said 140! It was alarming to see that number even though I know it was shoes and the quart of water I had so far for the day. Consider the emotional impact that number has every day. I thought it was going to make me have a high blood pressure reading but it didn't.

So the visit to the hematologist was a big nothing. My platelets had gone back to normal. Go figure. Dr. questioned me about had I had a cold or anything as any infection can trigger all of the immune system including blood platelet antibodies. But I haven't had a cold in ages. So no need to do anything excep****ch for unexplained bruises.

Ouch Ann, no fun to hurt your knee. We old folks have to be so careful to watch where we step. Mindful movement they say. Hope you feel better soon.

BB I used to feel as you do about cooking. I loved to cook for myself and others. I think it satisfied the need to do something creative with my hands which is now fulfilled otherwise. But there is still the need to nurture. Its a good thing as long as you keep it healthy.

Well not sure I want to embark on any meat only diet. Its summer and the fresh veggies are too good. Plus I pretty much eat no white carbs anyway. Last night I made tuna salad with dill pickles served on lettuce and tomato. It was pretty warm here - like 70 degrees which is considered hot.

Sorry you need the dental work Dave but it will be worth it.

Paula hope you are doing ok. Ditto Joey, Linda and all.

Goodness Devon, thats one heap 'o puppies you await. Bet Blue will enjoy being a wet nurse for the herd.

Well thats about it. Gallery duty this afternoon. Have to replace the computer monitor cord which I will no doubt screw up. Breathe indeed. Diane S

205.2 Last night, I did not get near home till after 8 and I was stuh harving. Not an excuse, I should've been prepared, but it is the reason why I gave in to my craving for more fried rice. At least I got brown rice this time, and I mix a lot of black beans in.

One of my older grandson's friends from Scouts died this morning from cancer. These poor kids are surrounded by far too much disease and death. My daughter said that she sees how lucky she is that her children are healthy. Perspective. Yesterday she was so upset that her surgery that she had prepared for was rescheduled to next week. Today, not so much.

My boss let me read my annual review and it's glowing! Morale in the office has been down, so it was a nice lift.

Beautiful photo!

Joey of course your review was glowing! You are so dedicated to being responsible and meeting the needs of others that I am sure you excel at work too. Yes, be grateful your boys are healthy. Enjoy the weekend. Diane S

Amen, Joey! Great job review. Bam!

Very sad about your grandsons' scouting friend who died. But your grandsons won the lottery when they won you as grandma. You ought to get a National Award.
