Me too - I lost count of the diets - sometimes I'd get my weight way down but almost immediately it would go back up and end up higher.

Man, those crazy diets! I think I was so nutritionally deprived at the end of them that my body just went crazy trying to nouri****self again. Such a weird pendulum to be on. So glad that is over. Now when I need to lose a couple of pounds I never cut back on the healthy food -- just cut out all the extras. Bodies need good food! (Damn, I wish I'd been smarter about all that decades ago.)

I wish the appeal would be with the same judge, but it goes to a different judge in a higher court. BUT (see what I mean about me always having a big but), the transcript of the hearing will be part of the appeal, so everyone will be able to read everything he said.

(Shel, you should know that I typed the following paragraph before reading your Grandma's "Don't borrow trouble" advice.)

Well, so much for my philosophical approach. As I face two weeks of waiting to learn any results from my upcoming biopsy, I find I'm wanting to fill the hours with things that require physical effort to accomplish, e.g., yardwork, errands, laundry. Yesterday I picked up leaves in the front yard by hand -- clearly, not the most efficient way of doing that job. The stress is mentally tiring, but the body keeps vibrating, and not in a good way. I want to shake all that stress out. This is a time when I wish I were still a runner.

It's 7:30 am, and I've already mowed for an hour, weeded, picked a hydrangea bouquet, made the bed, mopped the bathrooms, made hubby take a marinol (cannabinoid for appetite -- he's lost 15 pounds since the cruise) who's off doing some thyroid / iodine tests this morning. I'm headed to the pool in an hour. But before then I must meditate. Otherwise, I'll soon be mowing the county road easements.

BREATHE!

P.S. Liz, your group is indeed a good looking crowd. And Paula, yes, I also want to know more about the Dysport. I recently decided to get a consultation from a plastic surgeon for some face work -- even if I don't actually do anything.

I love my facelift (definitely removed 10 years), but that has made me wonder about injections for the remaining "creases".

Weight: 154. Calories: 1780. A lot lower than I thought. Originally I wasn't going add it up, but I did and I think I even included everything I ate.

Big problems: chocolate still in my desk (doh!), wine, and not staying on top of my hunger.

I definitely think appetite suppressants were a big help.

My sister is big into eating very healthy meal prep foods. But...she just snacks and snacks and snacks! She's able to lose this way because it's all so low-cal. But I find it exhausting to prepare that much food, not to mention there's something psychological about eating/snacking constantly, and then even when I'm not as prepared with healthy foods, I feel the need to put hand to mouth! So I've tried to go away from snacking, period! In fact, I'd say my approach to eating is more high calorie/normal meals but of lower portions. Because I know I can do that anytime anywhere, and it's usually more filling to me--emotionally and physically. Thoughts?

Breakfast yesterday was a chorizo breakfast taco--chicken chorizo, half egg/half egg beaters scramble, ff cheddar cheese, low carb tortilla. Coffee

Lunch: zoodles with shrimp and pesto. This is a perfect example of what I was saying above. This didn't fill me up AT ALL. So even while my heart was in the right place...

Snack : Only 1.5 hours after "lunch" I got a slice of coworkers pizza bc I was so hungry! I then proceeded to have 3 chocolates from my desk. Ouch

Dinner: Arby's slider. Then met a gf out for drinks bc she's a SAHM and needed a night out. 3 glasses of wine. Eeek. Bad.

Snack: 3 chicken meatballs + 5 brazil nuts. I feel okay about this one.

Truth be told, the day would've been okay had I not had the wine. Or maybe just 1-2 wine and no pizza.

Greetings Happy People

As I type this I see Liz's family picture and can't help but see the love and caring there. Liz is clearly the centerpiece of this family. So wonderful.

Weight is not so wonderful. 136. Almonds are singing to me. Gotta get rid of them. I tend to eat more because these are dry roast salted. I usually get the raw ones but costco failed me.

Still thinking good thoughts for you Ann and DH. Medical cannabinoid products are used a lot out here in California and are a good thing. I have a topical creme that I use for hand pain. Seems to help. I wish my brother with the brain tumor could use some but its illegal in Nebraska and he is such a straight arrow he would not go underground.

Lots of nice observations today Shel. Thanks. I so love this little group. My favorite of the several websites I visit each day with coffee and vitamin taking.

Made a great dinner last night - BLT with no bread. Just butter lettuce leaves, crispy turkey bacon, fresh tomatoes and a blob of mayonnaise. A great summer dinner. Repeat tonight.

So where is the puppy news? Must be on Facebook. Ground Control to Devon, report in.

Personal Trainer today. I wonder what torture she has planned?

Yesterday was messed up because of calls regarding my mom's crazy friend who was taken to the ER for fear of a small stroke. Turns out it was Bell's Palsey which I guess is not too serious. Forced me to stay home and work on getting the kitchen table cleared off.

Yeah. old fashioned dieting is mostly for the birds. I did it over and over and finally gave up as I always gained it back plus more. My surgeon told me there is an increase in ghrelin production after dieting and thats the reason for the excess regain. He said I probably would have been even fatter if I had kept dieting.

Over and Out. Diane S

I am starting this post before midnight. NPO after Midnight for dental implant tomorrow. Eating nuts and yogurt of course. Wt 217. Been working on DS#1 pharmacy. Demo yesterday. Building started today. I am feeling the work in every bone in my body. For an old work-o-holic it is worth it. Todays work brought to me by the makers of vyvanse.

Liz, great looking people in your picture.

More later, David
