Wow, time flies in Paradise: 8 days left.

Weight back down to 116? Either the scale is screwy or I was more productive in the bathroom than I thought yesterday. I hope the scale doesn't heal itself and scare the heck out of me tomorrow.

I'm taking Devon's advice and not stressing over what I eat/drink so much while on vacation (but trying to make high protein choices and not push beyond my tummy's limits). I have a plan for when I return to get back on track (following Ann's wise lead after her vacations).

I spent about 2.5 hours working yesterday. I need to be done with this job. I'm telling my boss at the next in-person meeting that I'm done at the end of the year. Every time I think I'm going to tell them there is another organization shift. I now have yet another new manager (above my immediate one), and I suspect my immediate manager may be moved to another group as well. Time to put my plans out there!

What a nice long vacation you are having Liz! Glad you have a planned date for retirement! That will be good for you and for DH.

Down a pound. Not by anything great I have done, but I am not complaining! Was super snacky last night. Didn't have a real dinner, but bits and pieces of a lot of things throughout the evening.

Day off today. Follow-up appt. with PS for arm and breast revision. Both are healing well. May also get Dysport (kind of like Botox) if they can squeeze me in today.

Rainy, gloomy day outside!

Paula

Weight: 154.8 today. Totally deserved this time

Idk what happened yesterday. I just tracked my calories at about 2300!! Tbh I'm lucky it wasn't more.

In an effort to try to understand...

Breakfast was fine, lunch was leftovers and fine.

But I started getting hungry in the afternoon. First mistake: I had succumbed to Trader Joe's "s'mores chocolates" and they were sitting in my desk. 2 of them with a coffee. Okay, not great but was still in control. Only 150 calories. Shouldn't make or break my day. But it definitely didn't satisfy my hunger. When I got home I was very hungry so I had 2 of my DSD lemon oreos. See what I did there? Still not enough to completely blast the day to pieces. She wanted Chinese food. You know, the really unhealthy kind. And I was feeling very weak and got it. Orange chicken and fried rice. Omg. Idk how long it's been since I've eaten like this. I had half of it and was thinking "it's okay, I'll go over today but not by a ton." Glass of wine with dinner at 6:30. By 10 I was starving. Turns out that glazed breading and fried rice doesn't satiate. so I said screw it and at the other half and another glass of red wine.

Worst food day I've had in awhile. A long while. What I should've done at some point was say "oh now I know I've eaten a lot of calories already, but let's have some turkey meatballs, or greek yogurt."

Definitely tough to stop once started isn't it? I do find that I feel a "reset" when I weigh in the next morning after that happens (thank goodness).

quick pop in to say hello!

Co-worker had a family emergency so is suddenly out for close to 2 weeks.

Little Tink (yes, named after Tinkerbell but these days we consider StinkyTink to be more descriptive) was doing better but now seems to have a lame foot/leg or something. DH will get her to the vet today who will have to connect the dots. She still tap dances for her meals but after that simply stands, looking miserable til we carry her to her bed. Then she lays. There is one leg that she doesn't seem want to put pressure on unless there is a meal coming.

Hug your skinny tight!

Poor little Tink! Sometimes my chihuahua acts a little lame but it goes away in a day or 2. She is almost 16 so I attribute it to her older age.

Weight same as yesterday.

SUGAR FREE POPSICLES! I've decided that I am going to stock up on those little babies and use them as needed. Screw the aspartame and Sucralose. But now I wonder if like diet soda, those puppies will do the insulin thing, too. Probably. Hmmmm.... damn.... maybe not the best choice.... and I was so excited... See, writing things down gets the thought process going and look what happens: a great idea goes to sh*t! LOL! (Still, I think I will get a single box instead of the 27 I was planning on!)

Today is ultra sound day for the girls. Fingers crossed. We shall see.

Gotta run... may check back in later today.

Sugar free fudgsicles have been my go-to treat since surgery. I ate too many of them once... ONCE! Last Summer, my nephew decided to eat at least 8 of them. I warned him that there would be hell to pay. He is a teenaged boy, so damn the torpedoes. The next day, I called him to see how he was. He had a wretched night, but said it was totally worth it. We still tease him about it, but he will eat as many as he can get.
