Happy Fathers Day for those celebrating!
We have reservations at the restaurant on our resort, on the beach. DS is somewhat turning up his chef's nose, but DH likes it there.
Weight 118.2, making me nervous though I hit this high a month ago then dropped 2 pounds after a productive bathroom day (which may partially be the issue). Oh well, I'm going to try not to stress but just make good choices when possible.

I'm back home after my Last Business Trip as part of my Last Consulting Gig. And boy, oh boy, has this experience made me realize how much I love being retired!
I was with three of my best friends / old work colleagues last week (all men) who ate every night like it was their last meals. The dinner restaurant choices (all fabulous) and the peer pressure to relax with alcohol and fine dining after stressful work days was freakishly powerful. Freakishly so! Did I mention it was freaky? I ate more for longer than I have since WLS. Much more so than on our cruises. Oh, and zero exercise. Ugh.
Anyway, so glad to be home. Fell into bed Thursday night. I barely moved on Friday, gardened and mowed my ass off yesterday, and plan to clean house today like a bride and to spoil hubby on Father's Day. He missed me terribly while I was gone. I missed him, too.
By the way, this morning I read all your posts since last Sunday and caught up with everyone. Lots going on here. Loved all the pix and news.
Devon, I found your four categories of unhealthy eating especially interesting: emotional eating (stress, comfort, anxiety), boredom eating, habitual eating, and celebratory eating. Is that something you came up with or a more clinical categorization? I certainly experienced a lot of all of those last week.
I have to draft a recommendations report, and then it's back to real life. Yea!

Hi Ann! So nice to have you back!
The 4 categories are my own invention. I'm sure they are somewhat universal and apply to many of us at least sometimes. Celebratory and emotional eating I think are close to the same thing, but on opposite sides of the pendulum swing, so I choose to categorize the eating differently. The other type of unhealthy eating that I encounter at times is "lack of sleep" eating. For me a lack of sleep sometimes creates a want for carbs and if I start in, the cycle will last the rest of the day.
Thanks, Devon. I concur with both those caveats, including the fifth category. Very helpful to have those mindfulness buckets.

Yeah - he is actually fine with pub type or middle of the road places, but when he thinks the place is trying to be high-end but he doesn't agree DS can be a bit of a snob. His BF is with him this week - only met him briefly previously. We are really enjoying his company! Danger though - he is a pastry chef and that is my weakness!

Up a little over a pound but I know for sure that I need quality bathroom time!
Now that DS#1 is gone working at summer camp, I have thoroughly cleaned his room and drafted up a contract for him to sign when he returns regarding expectations for him to uphold in order to continuing living with us. Hope he can come through!
Not sure what DH wants to do for Father's Day. We will go to church for sure and maybe out for lunch. Otherwise he will probably jus****ch T.V. He had wanted to try a movie but said nothing good is playing right now.
Happy Father's Day to David and Devon (furbabies count!) and to all of the Father's in our lives!
Love to you all!
