Arghhh... Up another pound to 117.5 and I deserve it. I had good intentions yesterday but ate WAY too much last night.
We are looking forward to family arriving to join us on vacation today. I have this teeny-tiny rental car which I will be doing shuttle service in from the airport. Luckily the boys come in at a different time from SIL, so the luggage should fit in the extra passenger seat (hatchback/trunk would only hold small bags).

Liz, have fun with the family!
My little Tink is back to herself....thanks for the comments, they reassured me. Must have been the vaccines.
Off to Bandera Mountain hike......
Find your full (a non-stomach kind of full)

142.2. Still a normal BMI but edging closer to the top of the range. Not where I wish I was.
Exercise has been good, eats not as much. Took DH and DS#1 to a fancy steak restaurant last night. One of the sides was lobster Mac n Cheese - to die for! I didn't have much but it was soooo good! Lots of left overs for the boys today!
Not sure what is on the docket for today. Some house cleaning for sure. I think we have a grad party as well but lost the invite and not sure of the time!

Greetings Dog Lovers
Well down a half from my pizza splurge. Thats a relief. Still have a huge bag of costco asparagus to eat through. I would be happy to eat nothing but that but DH objects.
Glad Tink is better Shel. Is that short for Tinkerbell? I once had a cat named Twinkle Toes. Have a good hike and stay balanced in every way.
Liz continue with the Aruba Chronicles. We love hearing about your trip. Glad family is arriving.
Paula, a day with little scheduled is a good day. One need not be productive every minute. The day does not need to be full to be FULL.
Gallery duty today. Hope the sun makes an appearance so the tourists will come by.
Lordy where does all the laundry come from? I wear the same crummy stuff to the studio every day and yet I never catch up.
Well I'd better pack up a healthy lunch and make coffee to take along. Cheers all. Diane S
Laundry, dishwashing and housecleaning: you are already behind before you have finished (more clothes to wash, dishes to clean and dust to be removed)...

Jiminy Crickets! I had my client down for 10 am and she showed up at 9:00 am. Yikes, what a start to a Saturday morning. Oh, it was my fault, too. She requested to change all her appointments for the year to 9:00 am and I forgot to change all but the first one of the year! Times have been changed for the September and December appointments! LOL!
Weight was down a pound today. Good. Scale blipped out on me last night. Was DOWN 3 pounds from the morning. Not sure why, but I was vaguely disappointed this morning when it was back where it really should have been. Hehehehe.....
Ron is quite upset about his increasing weight and girth. Doing what I can to support him, but it's best just to lead by example. I can't tell him what he should and shouldn't eat. He's got to figure that out for himself. He has committed to not drinking soda, which will be very difficult for him. He used to drink several diet sodas a day. Then he read that the aspartame and sucralose used in the diet sodas was detrimental to the body on several levels so he switched to regular soda and was drinking 2-3 full sugar sodas per day. Over the past month he took to making milkshakes in the afternoon, too.
He yesterday also said he wasn't going to eat any more ice cream, so I took the ice cream out of the freezer after I was done with my client around 11:00 am and put the cartons in the sink and ran ho****er over the ice cream to melt it and put it down the drain. I did this in front of him and when he asked what in the hell I was doing I replied that I saw how difficult it was for him last night to have the ice cream in the house so I was getting rid of it. You'd have thought I was committing a cardinal sin by his reaction - that's a waste of money, why would you do that?, blah, blah, blah... I looked at him and said, "Honey, I'd rather you said thank you for being supportive and understanding. What I'm doing is actually pretty sweet and considerate." SCORE! He said yes, I was being considerate, but he felt guilty about it. I told him we don't need ice cream in the house and it's good for me not to have it around either.
Workout yesterday was AWESOME! We increased weight on all the same exercises and I was a sweating, heaving mess. I loved it! My heart rate was 146 when I got on the treadmill to cool down. I am so enjoying the strength I am gaining. I can't believe I am doing 70 lb. back flies with slow repetitions and a hold on each contraction and 95 lb. dead lifts with absolutely no back issues because I've learned the correct form and can keep my entire upper body engaged while my legs do the work. Even though the scale is not reflecting a weight at which I am truly comfortable, I am taking a great pride in my increased strength and stamina. I don't think I have been this physically fit in my life. I have been far thinner, but I did not have this kind of strength. I like feeling strong.
Liz - you're on vacation! Enjoy the time with your family. Remember weight is fluid. It moves up and down. You are dedicated to keeping your weight in check overall. A day here or there with freer choices in food won't matter. Trust yourself.
Paula - Glad the exercise is going well. That's been such an important thing for you and I bet it feels good to have that back in your routine. Remember, you have so much going on with DH cancer treatment and getting DS#1 through senior year was no walk in the park. You will have time to get the extra pounds off when you are ready, if you even decide you want to. You look great to me at the weight you are - healthy, strong, trim and athletic! And as you said, you're in the acceptable BMI range.
Joey - yay on a great Friday and congrats for being to work on time! Having your grandsons with such regularity and dealing with your ex has not been easy. So glad you are starting to see a turn around in your fortune!
Shel - glad Tink is better. Always worrisome when one of mine is "off". Jackson must have really been miserable with his paw. He's so chipper and cheerful since the bet got that bugger of a foxtail out on Tuesday! Enjoy your hike. What hike did you plan for DH tomorrow? I'm sure it's a good one and maybe DD will go along.
Diane S. - I envy your cool coastal climate today. It's currently 93 with and expected 99 as the high. Tomorrow's high is predicted at 105! Enjoy the gallery tourists, the fog, and the dogs. I should send Ron up to do your laundry. He loves doing laundry. It's a familial trait. My BIL joke that we wear the same three pair of underwear over and over because the laundry is being done every other day and we simply never get to the underwear at the bottom of the drawer.
Diane O - I am guessing that the rekindle of relationship is going well. That sure is nice for you and Chuck. Love your outlook of late. It's good modeling for me!
BB - take care of the sinus infection. Only had a few, but they are miserable! Be well, and love your outlook on the Blonde challenge - totally doable! I sort of think I should join you and Joey!
Anne, David, Linda - miss you guys! Hope all is well.
Thank you for putting things in perspective Devon! That's why I need you guys!
