Up 1/2 pound - no surprise. 116.5, calories 1685 with lots of bad choices. I think it is because we hung out at the room last night! So we had drinks, appetizers, dinner, then grazing.

We are going to a restaurant on the beach tonight that everyone likes but we haven't been to. If I stick to fish (which is what I usually prefer), I should be able to offset yesterday.

Family arrives tomorrow! DS and his boyfriend arrive at noon and SIL mid-afternoon. It will be fun! Picture from our chickee this morning (just set up our usual spot):

Good morning,

What a beautiful way to start today, Liz. I'm ready for the weekend, how about all of you?

Last night, my "I wanna eat" seemed to settle down, helped by a grazing ban and relying on good ol' chicken breast as my main protein. It isn't exciting, but it is reliably effective.

My littlest dog, a 4lb Toy Fox Terrier, seems to be under the weather. She just wants to lay down on her bed, not my lap. When I visit her on her bed she turns over for a belly rub but isn't playful. She doesn't run in circles for fun or attack her toys. No other symptoms. She eats with enthusiasm and pooped last night. This malaise started yesterday. The previous day, she had a routine check up with a full set of vaccines. I suppose it could be related to vaccines???

Off to the races,

Shel

Poor little pup! I always figure that when they are eating, drinking and "eliminating", they are pretty much ok. My 7 pound almost 16 year chihuahua goes on food strikes for a couple of days periodically and I always worry then.

Could easily be the vaccines, Shel, especially since she's so small. If the lethargy doesn't improve by the end of today, give the vet a call. It's always best to let the vet know when a vaccine is having more than a 24 hour negative effect. Hope she feels better ASAP!

LOL! I received notice of this on my work email today (one of them is an account).

Beautiful picture of your view, Liz.

My weight is up a pound. Not really sure why. Oh well....

Had a major stress dream early this morning. Sigh...

Looked at my calendar and decided I'm booked through September. Done! No new dogs on the calendar until September. Oh, dear Lord, let me stick to my guns on that!

Paula, totally understandable about not feeling motivated. You have very good reason with all that is going on in your world. I do not have such reasons and really must spend some time figuring out my motivation.

I got a big chunk of my "chores" done yesterday, so that feels quite good. I spent about 4 hours poring over financial paperwork, getting the accounts in order, paying bills, doing the DMV liability release for the van I just sold, and I'm sure a few other things I just don't recall at the moment! So, I do feel accomplished about that.

Have trainer today. Will be fun to see what he comes up with for me today!

203. Day 2 of the Blondie challenge and I'm down 1. I did make better choices yesterday and made sure to reach my step goal. *fireworks* AND I made it to work on time!

Regular breakfast of protein bar and banana. Lunch was other half (1/3) of stuffed cabbage from yesterday and two emergency cheeses (light mini babybels). I will probably pick up pizza tonight to celebrate their dad's birthday but I'll get grilled chicken salads for me and my daughter.

Greetings Friendly Earthlings

Well up a pound as predicted by last night's two small pizza slices. Happens every time. Oh well, back to shrimp and asparagus tonight. Almonds and cheese didn't help. It occurs to me that I have not offered much insight on maintenance issues here. Just haven't done much introspecting about why I sometimes eat poorly. I guess its because I tend to think ahead or maybe I am finally learning mindfulness (whatever that is) as all my self help books say to do. Or becoming a stoic in my old age.

Liz, we all love the Aruba Chronicles. So glad you get to be there.

Shel hope your little doggie is back to her old self soon. I bet it is the vaccines. Have a relaxing weekend.

Tesla and her dad Chip are playing their favorite game - tug of war while growling and wrestling. Chip is bigger but Tesla has the advantage of youth.

Good on you Kairk for keeping your schedule somewhat open for the summer. Teachers really need that time off and you probably have puppies on the way!

Well not much on the agenda today. Have to do some financial stuff for my mom and then will try the gym and on to the art studio. Gallery duty tomorrow. So many chores around here that need attention but I would rather play with clay. Oh well.

Peace and relaxation. Diane S

Hey Joey

You and I always seem to post at the same time. Great minds think alike. Glad you are able to make better food choices. Keep it up. Sounds like you are having a moment or two of peace. Good deal. Diane S
