Good early morning

oh the lovely lovely sandy beach! And good for you for the Judge! Plus you silver sneaker gym rat, way to go! Kairk that amazing shirt hardens back to the 60's, we have a blue version somewhere around here. Hope a good renter shows up.

made 4 doz cookies ( and ate one) for a 10 person team that is doing a 90 mile hike through some pretty tough country. There is a group of us that is making food for drop of points that they will come to every couple of days.

A good walking day but not the wisest of food choices. Eating when not hungry. Not good.

Carbon... your self control is amazing! I could never make four dozen cookies and eat only one ! I loved the dough (even frozen) and the finished product. To this day, I keep no white flour or sugar in my home, and have to hire out my baking !

Liz... thanks for reminding me about my spiralizer. I also enjoy cauliflower rice and spaghetti squash and never really ate a lot of pasta either. Not sure why the noodles sounded intriguing... especially if I make it a priority to savor tastes/flavors of what I choose to put into my body.

Will finish up the mowing today. Stay hydrated as you stay the course !!

Me too (on only eating one)! Though I have stayed away from the chocolate chip cookies since Saturday. DH is so controlled - he has 2 a day (if reminded).

Weight 115, calories 1106. Lest you worry that my calories will stay this low the entire trip, have no allusions! I'm just keeping low when not hungry and not going anywhere fancy. Interestingly I actually feel less hungry here during the day. I think that is because I am away from the usual eating places (am on the beach), so there is no head hunger.

Greetings Friends

Well kind of mellow here in the group. Mellow is good. It can be the theme for the week.

Carbon you do so much good. Making cookies for the bike group, volunteering etc. Seems like you are always doing something kind for someone else.

Liz glad you are getting into the sun and sand. You have earned a rest and hope you enjoy every moment.

Diane O, begin exploring the pleasures of retirement. Its amazing how much fun stuff is out there. Yes, zucchini season is approaching so time for the spiral slicer.

Where is Shel? Probably climbing Mt. Denali. Oops, I forget that some people still have real jobs.

We ate the weird noodles last night with spaghetti sauce. Sure is an easy dinner but no protein to speak of so can't do that often.

well Mr. Scale can't decide if I am 135.5 or 136. So I will take the lower number. Only a few errands and studio time today. I need to go get a blood draw which means a costco run since I will be down to the big city of 28,000 people. I am a bit sore from yesterday's Silver Sneakers but in a good way. Guess I will keep it up.

Keep the faith all. Diane S

205.0 I may have started the celebration too early. No, it was an awesome victory and vindication which totally counts. I did start counting the money too soon, however, because it looks like my ex is not going to pay willingly, and I anticipate having to go to Court again to enforce payment, which will stink out loud but should be easier and less stressful. Let's hope he consults a lawyer or someone who will talk some sense into him and his wife.

Anyway, my son had a minor break last night that scared my grandsons, especially since their tough old granny was crying. Long story, but all is well at the end of the day, thank God. Everything went wrong while cooking dinner, the stovetop broke again, it's a goner. I blew a fuse which put out the refrigerator and a few other appliances. After flipping the switches and getting everything up again, calming everyone then realizing how late it was and there was no way to cook anything quickly for dinner, I went to McDonald's with money I don't have for food no one should eat. Justification - we got no fries and only double cheeseburgers and hamburgers. I never eat the bun, and my big grandson always asks for it but he is learning that it goes to the dogs.

My daughter may be released from the hospital today.

Weight down a pound plus today.

Out of the house early to take the old guy to the vet for an infection in his foot caused by an early season foxtail. DAMN! I got one fox tail out, but one or two must have still been in there. There are two exit holes in the top of his foot and he has swollen toes. Poor guy. Groomed a couple of Norwich this morning and now am enjoying a meal of homemade Greek yogurt with blueberries and chopped pecans. Always makes me think of David now when I eat nuts and yogurt.

Have busy work/chores on the docket for the rest of the day. Will feel good to get that sort of mundane work done with. I really do hate clerical and financial stuff. Blech.... I am much more equipped to be creative and free spirited. I don't mind hard work either. My professional and avocation prove that, I think! If I was provided with a daily or weekly allowance for amusement purposes by a personal accountant who would then pay all the bills and save money for me, I would be a most happy fellow!

Emailed the psychiatrist today and he has ordered a 3 month supply of Vyvanse at the 50 mg dose. I know I could tolerate a higher dose, but I really don't want to overdo it. I think this is a workable level and does pretty much what it's supposed to. There is simply a side of me that likes the stimulant aspect of the medicine. Another thing I like about this dosage is that it is allowing me to see the difference between very specific eating behaviors. With the BED compulsions staying mostly at bay, being able to differentiate between emotional eating(stress, comfort, anxiety), boredom eating, habitual eating, or celebratory eating is becoming easier. At least one of those four types of eating is still a daily occurrence, but so much easier to evaluate and understand and manage with the underlying urgency of driving compulsion on vacation.

Glad we all seem to be in sync with positivity to begin the week. Joey, I admire your resilience! Your boys - big and little - rely so heavily on you. I know you are a hell of a strong woman, but I do hope you are able to find a few moments during which you can take care of yourself with the same love you give to your son and grandsons. I wish you peace and very good mojo! As for your ex, he'll get what's coming.... Karma is the damnedest thing!
