Weight up to 154 today. Boo. I had terrible bathroom issues yesterday that I thought would result in a loss. I've just not felt right. I feel pretty lethargic. I' ve been having all these restroom issues but I have been drinking more water...but I'd think that would help more than anything. Then I was terribly horribly hungry yesterday despite taking an appetite suppressant because I could feel the massive hunger coming on. And it was crap food, I'll admit it. And then I felt nauseous and poor during my back and biceps yesterday. We cut it down to 45 min. instead of an hour. I didn't really feel like eating dinner afterwards. But I wouldn't really know what to say to a dr. and they never seem to do anything anyhow.

I'm trying something very off the wall (for me at least) tomorrow: acupuncture! I'm hoping it'll help with stress, anxiety, fertility, gastro issues. And even if it's a placebo effect, bring it on!!

I met my now-husband 6 years ago today. I was just over a year out from WLS. Sometimes I wonder if he would've even noticed me if I were fat. That's unfair and that type of question can only cause hurt. Maybe people weren't as accepting of me when I was pre-WLS. I thought it was unfair, I still think it's unfair. But that's the way of the world. And truth be told, I wanted more for myself and I chose it. Fat me isn't some other me. She's still here!! Being who she always wanted to be! I have to remember that it's not one or the other.

I think we'll go out to a nice dinner tonight.

Travel day yesterday went well except for the ice cream on the way home. Oh well it is rare and not too much guilt. I am planning on going back tomorrow to mow the yard. Got a mower given to us for DD#1 to use but it won't start. I think it is in the fuel supply. I will take my tractor to mow with and some tools to work on the other one. Maybe I can get it running. Today I plan to poke another hole in this beautiful insulated shop for dog access. It will give us a little longer to be away from the house if we have to be gone.

Seek peace, David

Greetings Kind People

136 today. If I had eaten as much as I desired yesterday it would have been a lot higher. I really wanted to eat and snack yesterday. Limited it to one square of chocolate and some peanuts and almonds. Chicken for dinner. We had a studio board meeting where there was cheese, nuts, chocolate, strawberries and other nibble food. I finally suggested we wrap up the meeting since we were finished and I didn't want to sit there and nibble.

Yay for Sadie and the pool. I remember first taking our border terriers to the beach when we moved to California from the midwest. Little Liza was chasing a lab who galloped through a tide pool. Liza followed at full tilt and was suddenly submerged. So funny.

Snake sex? Do they lay eggs or have live birth? Will have to go look that up.

Paula have fun camping and Dave, have fun mowing. Everybody is so busy and active and thats the great pay off of wls.

Well I am definitely sore from the gym Wed. but I need to go back today. Art openings tonight and there are two I would like to attend. But there is nibble food so I won't stay too long.

BB hope you feel better. I have friends who swear by acupuncture. Hope it helps.

Shel, in spite of your buffalo avatar, I do not envision you as snorting and stampeding. And I am indeed not a meditating hippo.

Well take care all. Spread the kindness. (note: kindness is NOT forcing chocolate on other people as was done to me yesterday- didn't take much force). Diane S

I picked up those healthy noodles at Costco and indeed they are good. What a surprise! While not a protein, their carb load is acceptable ---- 5 grams carb and 4 g fiber.

The stats feel almost too good to be true. Years ago, there was a scandal when a local company's breakfast cookie nutrition stats ended up being wrong. Unfortunately for them, an employee of the local FDA was a weigh****cher member and she had them analyzed. They had to change their labeling to say that each cookie was 2 servings.

But, there is no reason for now to suspect the noodles are anything but the real deal. I think even DD could get some use out of them. Thanks for the tip! (I will buy pretty much anything this group recommends from jeans to noodles to terrier.)

It is literally named "Healthy Noodle" At my Costco, it was in the refrigerated section with guac, hummus, salsa etc.

Comes in a cardboard box that is mostly green. Contains 6 bags that have 2 servings each of precooked noodles.

Each serving is 25 cal, 4 gram fiber.

Ingredients: water, soybean fiber powder, cellulose, sodium alginate, yam konjac powder, calcium chloride, salt

no weird smell, looks like noodles, behaves like noodle

School is out for the summer! It has been a most hectic week. I was quite behind with my end of the year work. So much so, I was still administering a final reading test to one of my at risk students today at 11:00 am! I have wondered if part of my issues this week have been due to the meds. I don't know for sure, but it is something to consider. Trying to figure it out. Anyway, I'm checked out and don't have to do anything school related for about 6 weeks! YAY!

Had some stress eating this week. DUH, right? LOL! Have not been particularly careful with my macros either. Too many carbs overall, but an adequate amount of protein, too. Weight was up for a few days, but it was back down in my current acceptable range (the new decade thing...) this morning.

I'm exhausted both emotionally and physically. Lots going on a mental level - nothing bad, just a lot of negative energy and anger from a mentally ill friend - so I'm backing away...I can't handle the negativity right now..., had pressing work issues that the damn union wasn't taking care of, so I contacted the Supe and got it done, and of course, the regular dog stuff and end of school work. TA DA! No more than 5 hours of sleep each night since Sunday and last night was just a bust - awake at 3 am and nothing but in and out for the rest of the night.

Taking it easy for a little while this afternoon then off to training, need to work on Ace for a show this weekend (Woofstock...lol!), and pick up a friend at the airport tonight and deliver him to his hotel in Vallejo for the show. Then dog shows Saturday and Sunday. Rest will happen next week.
