Not too often that I get to start the thread anymore!
Still in the 140's decade but a little less than yesterday. Early work day today but that also means home earlier, so not too bad.
Got our family pics on a CD in the mail yesterday. There will be a lot of great shots but they all require heavy editing due to a strong yellow/green color cast. Good thing I have photoshop skills!
No real plans for the weekend except for out to lunch with some friends after church on Sunday. Weather is nice (at least for today). Have not looked much beyond that!
Have a Fabulous Friday Friends!

Yesterday at yoga I exercised some self control and skipped some of the poses to spare my healing thigh muscle. Unfortunately, the inflammation is now pulling on my knee area, causing some pain. Our primary care physician has prescribed (at this point, 2 weeks post-injury) less ice, more heat, flat shoes only, and (surprise!) patience. He predicted it'll be at least 4 more weeks before full recovery. I can do this. :)
Good news -- hubby is already feeling better. No dizziness or nausea this morning, and he ate twice as many calories for breakfast. We both slept very well last night, which didn't hurt either.

Interesting about less ice and more heat --- much more cozy in my opinion.
Did they decrease or discontinue digoxin? Nosey pharmacists want to know! That was quite a turn around in appetite. Glad he is feeling better.
Pharmacy Phun Phact: digoxin is digitalis which comes from foxglove which looks like this (tho you may already know it well) foxglove pic I don't remember it from my days in Iowa, but it grows wild in Western WA. I think it likes a bit of shade, so it wouldn't have fit in my Mom's giant Iowa garden. I always think of it when I see "edible flowers." I have never seen foxglove in an edible flower mix but I can't help but wonder if someone is double checking what toxicity might be associated (yes, I know the flowers are small....but still)
Enough rambling....better get back to my own pharmacy world.

That's right! It affects heart rhythm. You know, tho.....I had never thought about it in relationship to kids or pets. It is in our back yard!

Thanks, Shel. He's still taking digoxcin -- but had blood tests this morning to measure how much is floating around in his system right now. Obviously, his docs have multiple options, including no doses, lower doses, doses on alternate days, trying a different medication, etc.
Re his appetite return, he hasn't begun eating like it's Thanksgiving yet, but he's eating more. And since this week's theme is "Gradually" I'm liking the new direction of the graph line.
:)

In the office (crazy on a Friday but trying to make up for all the time off).
Weight 117.5, which is pretty good considering that calories were 2025, including a few chocolate chip cookies I ate after I couldn't sleep last night and got up to read.

Pizza last night
So the fault is on me
DH brought home leftover pizza and I ate slightly less than two slices of a small pizza. Must not do that. Can't do the carbs.
The good news is I went to the gym and did my weight routine by myself. Years ago when I did it I sure could do a lot more weight. Now I have to figure out the other classes and work them into my "non schedule". I always hated being highly scheduled and love being "adrift" with my time.
Yep, we have lots of foxglove growing around here but not at my house. With dogs in the back yard I always check on toxicity before planting. When Tesla was really little she got the shakes and her first trip to the vet. We have rhodies planted by former owner and vet said she had seen young puppies who chewed on have similar symptoms. Tesla recovered while we were in the vet's office and no further problems but I still check what I plant. I think the same is true of hydrangeas and I know hellebores are quite toxic. Nasturtiums (sp) grow like weeds around here and people put them on salads because they are pretty. Hmmm, maybe I should eat those instead of pizza....
Well today I go to see my 80 year old friend and try to teach her to use iPad. She lost the instructions I wrote before for her.
Paula, glad you had a day to relax. You deserve it. Hope the picture project works out. Liz thinking of you in your all day meeting. Yuck.
Ann, glad DH is feeling better. Hope your leg muscle heals. Heat feels so much better. Its the only good thing about getting into a hot car in sunny weather - the whole seat is a hot pad for your back.
Well burger and cucumbers for dinner tonight.

207 but it's water. I have had too much salt, not enough water and my ankles are swollen, so it's not a delusional water weight thought.
Lots been going on, my daughter is doing well, feeling much better, after several surgeries and more pending. I was called into my supervisor's office yesterday with another supervisor. They have been very accommodating, however, I was told that I have to do better and cannot "come and go as I please". My daughter called crying in pain and fear, so I rushed to the hospital and stayed with her the following day when her surgery plans went awry causing more fear and continued pain. My boss is still firmly by my side and will protect me as best he can, so I just kept apologizing, saying I would try harder and agreed to their suggestions such as enrolling my grandsons in a good summer camp so I won't have to worry about them, they can have fun and will be secure instead of depending on my brothers, cousins, etc. ... and yes it will cost a lot, but it's an investment, blah blah blah. I did not laugh and said I would check into it. People who have never had true financial troubles and have good credit, who have never had their utilities shut off, a car repossessed, had their house go into foreclosure, etc. have no clue what it is like to have no money. I was thinking to myself, "let them eat cake!"
Sooo, I have cut out my daily walks so I could get more work done. Today, I walk.
