Greetings Great Ones

Well still at 136. Had scrambled eggs and refried beans last night which was pretty good. Refried beans make me gain weight it seems even though I didn't eat that much.

Gosh Liz, I need a valium just to read what you are dealing with. Grab personal time wherever you can and take care of yourself. No need to get a cold or something. You can treat yourself to a fancy herb tea or something but what you really need is more time. T-minus 7 months and counting.

Paula glad you got to relax. You need all of that you can get. Actually everyone needs to relax except me.

Well the personal trainer experience was just fine - got what I needed. I told her I wanted to get some strength back but was limited in what I could do with my hands and gripping. So we developed a circuit using the weight machines. Its mostly lower body strength but a couple for upper body. I did pretty wimpy weight levels and will be working up. I am not sore today which means I didn't do enough. I also plan on going to the old peoples fitness class and water aerobics. Checked out the place more and feel comfortable there. And noticed a seriously fat lady at the pool so I won't feel like my saggy body is too hideous to display. Anyway, if I can just get the habit going it will be good for me. Staff is friendly and I can go at the off hours.

Ann sorry DH is not feeling well. Wonder if he is a bit anemic or something.

Yesterday was my Mother's 92 birthday which I never thought she would see. Crazy ex roommate made a little trouble but not much. Mom's caregiver sent me a video of her with a mylar balloon tied to her wheel chair. She was sitting with her eyes closed batting the balloon. It made me sad.

Gallery duty yesterday and sold some expensive items. Watered in the new plantings which are going to be great.

Yeah I remember "June is Busting Out Allover" . Amazing how we remember all those show tunes but can't remember where I put all my exercise gloves.

June 1, seems like it was just new years eve last week. Oh well, moving right along.

The breeders of our dogs just stopped by to pick up a bunch of dog crates that were being given away by our friend who is moving to Mexico. The two younger dogs put on quite a show of wildness. Tesla was outside but managed to get the slider open enough to come in. Devious little *****

Take care all. Today feels like the weekend to me but every day does anymore. Diane S.

Diane, I'm older than you! And I love my aquarobics class. I'm one of the two slimmest people in the pool -- lots of "fluffy people" there. But I give every one of them huge props for showing up every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. They're doing themselves good.

We use styrofoam barbells in our exercises, and those make our exercises incredibly effective weight resistive. I think it's useful like all other exercise regimens: consistency, consistency, consistency! It all does a body good. :)

Down another 1.8 today. Not buying that it was a real loss. I can't imagine that it was anything more than a water drop, but heck, if it is real - Hallelujah! Tomorrow will tell.

Very little sleep last night. Got focused on writing a letter to the school board for a meeting today. I presented the letter today and it was well received by the board, the superintendent, and the members of the teaching community. It's nice when one's colleagues clap, the board sincerely thanks you, and the supe hugs you with tears in her eyes. Made my point, got to have my say and did it in a way that allowed everyone to listen, hear, and understand without attacking a single person or group. Have to admit, I am proud of myself.

Spent the day at the Chabot Space and Science Center with the kiddos. Took a great class called Surviving in Space. Kids got to try out and practice skills that actual astronauts do - just in a kid friendly way. Had lunch, then a planetarium show and self guided tour through the exhibits - all interactive.

After school it was off to the board meeting, then home. Now I must run to Costco and then come home and work on Ace. He's being shown next weekend and I have been negligent on his grooming. Not like I've been busy or anything. Oh, should probably get going on report cards, too! 6 school days and very seriously counting! LOL! The platinum lining is that I LOVE MY JOB!

Liz - I hope that things can start to return to normal and you get some much needed rest. You are probably even more exhausted than you realize. Do take good care of yourself.

Paula - one day at a time. That is all you can do right now. Remember weight is fluid. It is not static. Everyone, and I mean everyone (normal weighted people included) have weight fluctuations throughout their lives. It's normal. Try not to worry. You have enough to worry about.

Good wishes to all!
