Saturday Salutations!
Quick posting before I do a whirlwind kitchen/family room clean.
Carbon, what's the status of you knee therapy? Physical therapy? Looking at surgery, eventually?
DianeS, no surprise that your doc said your weight is aok! I'm excited about your developing an activity routine.
Joey, hope you are having a peaceful day and that your family is well.
Devon, when do we find out if the girls are pregnant?
Liz, thinking of you and your family this weekend.
Yesterday's hike was 8.5 miles. I was feeling worn out from previous hikes and strongly thought of skipping. But wanted to try out my new garmin (total fail on my part....I am very much in learning mode) AND Mt Rainier was out, calling me to nature. Today's hike will be a bit shorter without "conditioning elevation." I thought about skipping but DD was interested so we will go, assuming she is still interested when I wake her up.
Give your body what it needs today (maybe a no-try-on swimsuit?)

I am interested to see if the man upstairs has decided it's time to turn things around. I have to believe that the comedy of errors that happened around Ella's breeding and the fact that my original choice for her was at a show up here this weekend and that he and Ella were absolutely mad for one another was meant to be. (How's that for a run on sentence?!)
Can only cross my fingers and hope for the best at this point.
Good for you with all the hiking. DH always loved it but I'm more of a stroll through the woods kind of person.

138.6 I think. The point whatevers don't stick in my brain for long these days, maybe they are not as important to me as they once were!
Got DS#1 all "gradeated" and stuff. Gratitude for sure! He scheduled his placement testing for college this morning which I find kind of ironic. Could hardly get the kid to finish his work to even graduate and the very day after graduation he got himself up to take a test at 8:00 am!
Supposed to be a beautiful day here today. Have a grad party to attend then I think I will relax on our new patio furniture this evening!
Congratulations on having a new graduate! That patio definitely looks like the place to relax in!

LOL! Love your kid's new ambition. Love it!
Liz is right -- that patio / furniture / setting is awesome!

Good Saturday morning!
Missed posting yesterday even though it was a red letter day on the scale. Not only was I down the 0.3 to get to the new decade, I was down a whole 1.6. I was rather certain it was a loss helped along by bathroom duties and today when I got on the scale my hunch was validated. I was up 1.2 from yesterday, but still in the new decade. I'll take it!
Yesterday my food choices were less than ideal. Protein intake was far too low and carb/sugar intake was far too high. I believe the combination of 5-6 hours of sleep for an entire school week, the prep for Open House, breeding the girls and playing catch up at school after missing a day took its toll and yesterday was simply the day to be loose and not give a sh*t about what I put in my mouth. But here's the thing: while I chose non nutritional carb loaded crap foods, I did not over eat. I did graze a little throughout the day, but not once at a meal did I hit that "Oops, crap, ow... I ate too much!" feeling I have had when my sleeve is at its max capacity. I knew when to stop and didn't go overboard or binge. 5 points for Vyvanse????
Got up this morning shortly after 6 to let Bramble, Blue and Keira out. Went back to bed until about 7:00 and then got up to let the boys out. (Ella is still on the central coast enjoying the lovely weather just north of Santa Barbara!) Went back to bed to sleep until 8 or 9. I wanted to catch up and planned my day around getting some rest and relaxation. I was stunned when I rolled over and it was 9:50! Haven't done that since I can't remember when! I felt guilty for a moment and turned that into "Oh well, I guess I must have needed it."
Shel, I'm impressed by your hikes! How long does it take you to get to those areas? You must be east of Seattle????
Joey, hope things are going well in your land. So, so much on your plate.
Diane S - hope you had luck with the trainer. Did you meet with one yesterday?
Diane O, enjoy your weekend away.
Ann, your toe ring search cracks me up. I suppose I'm a fuddy duddy because I've never understood the attraction. I admit I wear no jewelry whatsoever, so perhaps I am not the person to comment.
Carbon, ever onward, sister. That's all we can do.
Dave, how is the back on track plan going?
Paula, YIPEE! DS#1 son all done with HS! Yes, sit on that beautiful patio chair! If it's as comfortable as it is attractive you will be in heaven. A nice wine spritzer, a good book, and that chair - heaven! How is DH doing?
Liz, enjoy the planting. Need to do some of that around here, too.
9 more teaching days, but who's counting??? LOL!
Congratulations on being in the new decade! I wondered if you still had Bramble...

Devon, you are in a sweet space these days. So glad you're having so many "wins." What a happy season you're having.
