Good luck Paula! Insurance can be a pain, and when you are in this situation it feels like they control the outcome. Do they have advocates who can help you with this? We had to fight for surgery for DD years ago and we had a patient advocate who helped us get the approval.

154.4. Calories 1447, Exercise: over 1 hr. weights (back/bis) and 10 min. treadmill for approx. 250 calories burned

Yesterday ended up not being a total loss calorie-wise. I estimated dinner somewhat, but I think it's pretty accurate. Workout felt pretty good yesterday. 2 days in a row and I definitely had a good balance of really pushing myself, but not wearing out so early that I had to give up. Still feeling weaker, but DH reminded me how far we've come in just 8-10 weeks. That is so important to remember. Consistency is the most important predictor of success in almost all of our endeavors.

Have an alumni event tonight, so may not make it to workout. We'll see. Also, my DSD made the college cheer squad this weekend, so that's exciting. She's going to my alma mater, and a smaller state school, but I really think it's going to be a better fit for her. I'm afraid she'd get lost in the crowd at the big D1 schools. Even though I'm a stepparent, I do have to question if it's right for her or if I clouded her judgment and she'll resent me later. How do you parents do it?! I'm only a stepparent and yet I have these fears. Whoa

Just browsed. Will try to be back in a bit. But I do have to completely agree with Shel. Jif extra crunchy peanut butter is far and away better than some natural crap. Totally different.

Greetings Perservering People

Rats, another day of pouring rain after a sunny day yesterday when I was stuck in the gallery. Interesting day - got some remote access software installed, on the phone with tech support for while, previously crashed the computer when trying to get the printer to work, rebooted and gave up on the printing. Then just as I was preparing to close at 6, a nice older couple came in and looked at every item in the place. They did buy some things so it was ok. Then a stinky sort of crazy guy came in and wanted to know where to make photocopies of his important story. Took awhile to get him to leave.

Down to 135 so the pizza pound is gone. Spinach and shrimp last night. Now if only a few more pounds would go away. At least I had a lot of steps yesterday but today will be bad.

Oh no Carbon, toilet terrors! We have one at the studio that used to "erupt" about once a year. Finally had a bunch of expensive work done digging up some pipes. if we plug up the potty here and have to get the plumbers helper, we call it "Rebooting the toilet". No fun.

Well Shel, glad to see the buffalo back. You are not an ostrich though keep the thought in mind if it helps you. Hope the new co worker works out. Multitasking seems like a necessity. I used to be able to do that but no more.

Well DH thinks my boobs are slightly bigger with ten pounds or so of regain these past few years. My theory is I am wiser and its gone to increased weight in brain grey matter. Were that it were true.

Its so gloomy today that I feel like staying in bed all day with the dogs. But art gallery meeting tonight and I skipped the last one so better show up.

Wishing sun and mild weather to all. Diane S

209.6 - I don't know what happened, the scale just JUMPED up. I have started eating turkey lunchmeat for lunch every day with steamed asparagus. I don't know if maybe it's just my body rebelling against the salt. Usually when the scale jumps like this, I know why, but this time, it is weird and so fast! I am going to stop on my way home and buy something better to eat for lunch for the rest of the week and see if that helps before I panic.

I was up 2 pounds yesterday and didn't think it made sense foodwise. Down 1.25 this morning. I think it may be internal plumbing backup when this occurs?

Another late check in! I'm busy, busy during the day and haven't had much time to post during the day. I read what I could today during recess, but had to run back to busy, busy...

Weight same again. This is good. Maintaining a 7-8 pound loss. Tracking is happening, though I forgot to log dinner last night, but did it this morning. My carbs are too high for efficient weight loss. Still, lower carb than most people eat, but 130 carbs is too many for me for weight loss at a clip.

I introduced 10 exercise balls in the classroom yesterday to substitute for chairs and the kiddos are adjusting as best they can considering they are 8 and 9 years old. The temptation to use them as bouncy ball chairs and Hippity Hops (remember those???) is STRONG. Bar stools and raised tables will be introduced tomorrow. I believe I am nuts to be doing this in May, but, once it takes hold, it will be a great learning room! I also have purged my desk and it is now empty and ready to be moved to the district warehouse. Going deskless. I don't need it. Right????

Have to trim Ace, so off I go....

I would love to see a pic of your classroom when it is done. Sounds very interesting! I had a year where we had a wall less classroom (part of the library if I remember correctly) and another where they combined 2 grades into one 5th/6th.
