The start of the week is here again. Ughhh... Except the weather is supposed to turn from cold and rainy to warm and sunny beginning tomorrow. Yet another skipped spring in the northeast.

I made good food choices yesterday, but too much wine passed my lips (over a spread out period). We had lunch with our neighbors (shrimp and wine) and dinner at DS' restaurant (salmon and wine). I think calories ended up around 1600, weight 116.25.

WFH today, then trekking into the office tomorrow. DH starts at a support group tomorrow night and Wednesday we have to go to Boston for the final test to qualify for the clinical trial (PET scan).

I hope you all have a good Monday!

Good Morning Friends !

I've been in the Finger Lakes wine country for four days ! What a joy to find so many dog friendly hotels and wineries ! They do have rules.. dog has to be well behaved, get along well with others, and they reserve the right to shift "this allowance" if things get really crowded. I have finished all of my coursework for Disaster Stress Relief Dog certification... now it's Sadie's turn to practice and test with TDI evaluator. The tests are few and far between.

I've been trying to catch up with all of your posts . Some really significant epiphanies I can certainly relate to. I agree with the tracking weight and food on a daily basis, and I also find that my extensive food journaling history makes intermittent mental estimations possible or short periods of time.

Liz.. sounds like the PET is final step for DH qualifying for trial, and I missed the result of driving evaluation... will he proceed to a road test ? Shel... yes, the ostrich avatar seems counter to soul recharging. My DDs are 28 & 30, and "adulting stress" is beginning to substantially subside. Ann... I am also eager for some dry, warm weather to get a handle on my yard, although the scale of your property amplifies the process, for sure ! Joey, I share Dave's curiosity... what are your plans for the antique TV ? Diane..I envy you the Farmer's Markets in full swing. My frequent visit to Corning Glassworks and limited studio time have increased my respect for your pieces. It is hard to believe what goes into a piece from start to finish! Devon..loved picturing your babies patrolling. Sadie does the same, keeping birds and squirrels at bay. Great job with V successes ! You've got this ! Paula, sounds like you had a well deserved break !! Good for you! We all need to replenish our reserves, especially when they are being depleted at the rate yours are. BB, Dave, Carbon.. your posts are always so valuable to me too.

135... one pound over my range. I will rein things in today. Only working two half days this week... the end is in sight !

Let's be gentle with ourselves today, and give our reserves space to refill.

Thx for asking! DH didn't pass the driving evaluation, so there is no need for a road test. It was very clear and quite sad.

It's part of an estate so we will be selling it. It is a 1940s RCA 630TS 10" Channel 1 table top TV. From what I can gather so far, the biggest selling point is that it is unmolested, completely original, never touched by anyone trying to restore it or take parts. Know anyone who would be interested? It will be expensive to mail since I estimate that it weighs at least 1,000 pounds.

137 OTD.

Went out for sushi last night with DS#3. Except for the argument between DSs 1&2 last night, Mother's Day went fairly well!

Work today, DS#1 has his final choral concert tonight. He predicts many tears as several of the songs they will be singing tug at the heartstrings!

Have a great day protecting your skinny!

Good morning

food......well, let us just say not wise choices, but the gifters were pleased.

worked in the garden for more than an hour but that is really not exercise. Back at it today.

a cherry soul reminded us that it is approx 6 weeks until the longest day of the year and then the slide towards winter. Humbug!!

We had a great weekend -- a favorite niece graduated from high school, and we had a very fun family celebration afterward. She's headed off to college in June (that girl cannot WAIT to launch herself!). Good times.

My theme this week will be "Enough :)." That's "Enough" with a happy face. As in "Good job! You're doing enough already. No need to take on any more."

This week we will be busy with work on the property, the new consulting gig, and medical check-ups -- eye exams, chiropractor visits, and a mammogram for me.

I'm always ready to get my annual mammogram. Having never been pregnant, I ovulated every month between onset of menses and menopause, and because the number of ovulations correlates positively with breast cancer incidence, I get a little nervous about my boobies.

Come on, new week!

Greetings Optimistic Ones

Everyone seems to be in a good mood (except for the ugh workweek comment which is understandable). Sure hope the clinical trial thing comes through and does some good.

Diane O, isn't it fun to work less and have more time for other meaningful stuff like the dog activities.

Paula, glad you had a nice mothers day with only one kids argument. Hope the weekend visit was fun.

Well not much here but still at 136. No pizza yesterday. Shrimp with curry sauce last night and those weird noodles that are low cal and low carb. The costco ones don't seem to have that weird taste. Made for a satisfying meal. Tuna salad at lunch and gy breakfast. Extra glass of wine I didn't need. Oh well. Every day is another do-over.

Spent yesterday going to all the little b and b's and campgrounds with publicity brochures for the gallery. Forgot the fitbit but sure was moving around a lot. Still more of that leg work to do.

Gallery duty this afternoon. Sure hope we get visitors. Our business is down and we think its due to the road closures from slides. Plus cooler weather. When it gets stinking hot inland everyone comes over here where its cool year round.

I fear our old dog is not long for this world. She poops her bed sometimes and just stands in the living room not knowing what to do. But she still loves her food.

Well take care and have a good week all. Diane S

It's tough when our doggies slow down, but as long as they are still happy and not in pain that's what counts. I worry about both of mine and the peeing on the floor issues have somewhat escalated but we are good for now - dinner time and walks are still the highlight of their day too!
