Greetings Trackers
135.5 today. Guess the culprit was a slice of pizza for dinner. But that was my entire dinner. I totally agree with Liz's remarks on weighing daily and tracking. Gotta admit I don't track my food in writing anymore but sort of have it in my head. I do think I need to up protein and of course get my butt moving. Checking in here daily really keeps my head in the game.
Going to a wine tasting today which will have nibbles but not too many of them as everyone else stuffs them down. And of course wine amounts are small so it shouldn't be a food disaster. But there is still that pizza that DH brought home.....
Rain last night and sun can't make up its mind.
Shell hope the family issue resolves. Teens are tough. I don't have any kids but remember being just awful as a teen.
So, more puppies Devon. This time you will probably get about 20! Whats the ideal number - 6 or so? Tesla is a year old now and is finally being slightly less of a terror.
Well DH went to costco and I asked him to get edamame noodles but he came home with those weird clear ones that have no protein. Not sure what to do with them. They are low cal but just fill you up with nothing. Take them back or toss I guess.
Well, time to eat GY and see what the day brings. Ha, I see sun and roses...Diane S
I don't think my parents considered me a problem teen - limit pusher, yes, but I was fairly clever about keeping them in the dark about my extra curricular activities and the worst grade I ever got was a C during my "latch key kid" phase at 17 when I had absolutely no supervision for 5 months!
If I had me as a teen and knew what I was doing I don't think I'd ever, ever let me out of my sight! I was a tad reckless on the experimental side of things.
Sorry your kiddo is being a "teen". Not easy.
I was a preacher's kid and was such a good teenager. Seriously. I mean it.
Then the year I turned 21 I went to university in Europe. And things were NEVER the same! ;)
Thank God!

I was a preacher's kid too. Generally a messed up group of kids. My MIL was a counselor at a christian University and she always said preacher's kids were the ones with the most issues. She was worried when DW and I first met. I was good because I saw what kind of grief my brothers gave my parents.

Yep - me too! You don't want to know what I did... I turned out okay in the end but oh boy those teen years were bad (none of my kids were as difficult, but they had many moments).

Wt 217 I typed all this once and the power flickered here in the woods and it was gone. Maybe this time I will get it posted.
Steps include: working in the bee yard, planting some shrubs and digging a conduit ditch for 2nd RV power supply with my tractor. My bother and SIL are coming at the end of summer for a visit.
Liz- I agree with you too. Daily weights and posting keep me accountable. VSG has also changed me. It has changed the way I think about food. Even with the crazy N&Y thing.
Diane S. - How many objects do you fire at a time? Raku sounds so interesting but I cannot have any more hobbies that cost money to start. The shop is shaping up. And I will have plenty to do.
Paula - Almost 14K steps yesterday. Congrats.
VSGAnn- Isn't it nice to have a clear day?
Devon - In nursing C II's are counted at the beginning and end of every shift. Even the pain docs are more careful about prescribing around here.
Carbon - We have had our share of side ways rain this year. I don't like lightning. In this area we are losing post oak and ash to beetles and walnut and butternut due to a fungus.
Shel - Squash the ostrich! You create good such images with your words. And your hikes. I was a good teenager up until I left home at 16.
JoeyJo- Just curious, what are you going to do with an antique TV? Besides using it for weight training.
More later, David

I was thinking about your newly pregnant daughter....does she have other children or is this her first?
My daughter has an iud. It is being used to lighten her periods, otherwise she is anemic. But, I couldn't help but think "no accidental pregnancies for 5 years!" when it was placed.

No, this is her first, thank God. She has been on birth control since she was a teen because her periods were so bad. And we didn't want any grand kids then. She was still taking them when she got pregnant. She is anemic and for years has taken too many BC powders and alcohol which doesn't help anemia. Her teen years started early and has lived in an abusive relationship for years. I think she was starting to get her life together when this happened.

Yes, David -- it's marvelous to have this beautiful weather. Loving it!
