Wednesday May 10
Thanks for the b-day wishes everyone. The day had a rough start. DS#1 making a lot of poor choices right now and stressing me out to no end. Feeling the added stress of having to do all the household chores/child raising pretty much solo these days (how do single Moms or wives with husbands that work all the time or travel for work do it???)
DH and I were able to enjoy a nice dinner at Red Lobster...our date place. Wasn't sure if he would feel up to it since he got chemo today, but he mustered enough stamina to make it!
I think weight was 137.6 this morning. Lots of house cleaning steps yesterday but no formal exercise.
I think I'm going to try and get away this weekend. Need some respite. I think I will travel 3 hours to my brother's house which is where my parents are living now. Mom is my best friend and I could sure use her right now!

Oh, I hope you really do get away. Tell your mom right now that you are coming. Then it is decided.

I'm so glad you are doing this! You absolutely have to take care of yourself to keep your emotional strength. Your DH is so good about taking care of you with all that he is dealing with (dinner out after chemo!).
At some point it will be tough for me with DH. With his driving stopping it already feels a little like I am losing my own independence and ability to get away and recoup. At least he can still be alone for a few hours, but sooner or later that won't be possible.
