The handles definitely add a level of difficulty that isn't there with traditional push ups. Part is the rotating handles, but also the several inch added stretch of the pectoral muscles due to the extra height of the handles intensifies the work out the pectorals get. I think for planks the rotating handles would add a level of difficulty and benefit not only arms and shoulders, but also core.

Well DH was up early being a dog personal trainer. Took Chip for a long walk and then had old Liza on the treadmill. Tesla will get a walk later if it doesn't rain. It looks cloudy. Hubby dozing in big chair and Tesla just jumped on him and woke him up!
Scale couldn't decide if I was 134.5 or 135 so neither can I. (pre poop).
Well lots going on. Sorry the test got canceled Ann. Shel, healthcare must indeed be an uncertain place to work - not that there is not plenty to do or that jobs aren't available but thanks to Agent Orange no one knows where health care coverage is headed. I have a friend whose primary care doc retired and she now has to go 60 miles for a new one. We feel lucky to have the one we have. Liz gl with your adventures in health care. You are indeed doing a great job of keeping up with DH issues. Just hope it doesn't get to be too much for you.
And speaking of health care who'd a thunk becoming a therapy dog would take so much paper work. But so worth it to those you help, Diane O. Everybody hug some dogs today. Or a sheep or goat or a tractor or DH or whatever you have.
Made chicken with white chili beans last night. Not so good. Washed off the remaining chicken and dogs got a treat. Getting tired of planning healthy dinners. I think we need to go out for salads.
Oh well, onward - plants to plant and dog poop to clean up. Diane S
Weight: 153.4 (yayy!!!) but it was post potty as Diane would note haha. Calories: 1252 but ate out twice so I'm shocked my weight was down, Exercise: 1+hr. shoulders, biceps, triceps workout plus short 15 on cardio. Burned around 300 supposedly.
Still having a harder time at the gym recently. Seeing more of the energy and sacrifices than the gains. Hoping its just a phase. I felt so weak! I guess that's the game with shoulders! But I am pleased at the losses.
