Ann--good for you! It is amazing wha****er weight can do

David-it's definitely hard to stay on track when not in a routine

Liz-I'm glad you'll be seeking support. My grandmother hasn't been diagnosed with anything and tbh I think it's probably just dementia (she's 86.5) but she has good days and bad days. Sometimes I find myself getting irritated at the small things. Your husband's sounds more progressive and I can see how that would be more difficult to adjust to. I think a support group will be good to help you know that you're not alone and not to feel guilty for how you may react, but may offer advice.

Weight: 154.2 (woohoo), Calories: unk. (stopped counting around 800), No exercise

It's amazing how weight will just decide to release. I'm hoping this is for real this time. This is my lowest weight in a year!! I was 154.6 a couple weeks ago. And last year I actually did get down to 154.8 on May 14 before my surgiversary. I'd forgotten I got that low. But I think it was primarily fake/water weight back then, so I'm hoping this is easier to stay.

My big goal was to get down to 149--pretty much my lowest post-vsg weight (for like a day)--by my surgiversary (May 26). But with leaving for Hawaii in a week, I just don't know if I can make that happen. I don't want to stress out in Hawaii over exercise and calories. But I also don't want to blow ALL my progress. Which is what happened in Key West last summer. I literally gained 7lbs. over the week. And they didn't really come back off. I'm hoping that was because I had lost weight just by cutting calories alone--which is why I took a different approach this time. Still trying to learn how to manage real life and weight. Anyway, surgiversary is 5 weeks from today. It wouldn't be so out of reach if I weren't going on vacation--just try to lose 1lb./week. But even a small gain in Hawaii--say 2lbs.--puts me behind 2 weeks: the week I'm gaining it, and the week I'm taking it off. So I'm going to try and control what I can (food choices and exercise) and enjoy and know I'm going in the right direction. If I'm 153 on May 26, that's about my wedding weight. If I'm 151, that's the weight I maintained at first (and quoted with the 126lbs. lost). But I'm still hopeful for 149

Down .5

Searching the stratosphere for inspiration - LOL! Seriously, I'm not finding too much from within. The single problem with the new med is that it works so well and I feel so even keeled that my motivation to change is not as driving as I might like it to be. This is so much more involved than getting "back on track"! Me, oh my,

Weekend has ended up with two extra clients... but it had to be that way. At least I will have tomorrow morning to relax and be a slug, if I so choose.

Hoping to get an email from psychiatrist by the end of the day. Would also like AKC to get on the stick and send me the puppy's DNA report so I can determine paternity! It's becoming aggravating not knowing.

TGIF to all!

Pre Poop! LOVE IT!

My weight is pre poop everyday. Does that mean I get to deduct? LOL!

Greetings Glorious Maintainers

Well back from the slow gallery and busy art studio. Will get a lot of walking this weekend as I have to pass around these advertising cards for our gallery as the tourists are on the way. Take a look at Trinidadartgallery.com for fun.

Ya, sometimes weight is pre poop and sometimes post poop. I think it does make a difference but we can't control those calls of nature. Annoys me that when my doctor weighs me its almost always pre poop. Oh well. Devon, you can decide what to deduct.

The sun is here for awhile so had to get to studio to put together the parts of my Yellow Submarine sculpture for the Beatles themed show. Its fun. Big ol' octopus on it.

Well someone gave me some bee balm plants today so I want to get some stuff going in the deck planters. Our deck needs to be power washed and stained but since our elderly dog considers it her potty, may wait to do that. She will be 16 in 3 weeks.

Ann, hope the scan goes well. Liz, my grandmother had alzheimers and my mom took her to adult day care for awhile. Worked well, they had lots of fun stuff there.. My mom is now in that position from Parkinson's but the dementia is still the same. She likes adult color books and things she can do with her hands since she can't walk. We make up silly card games. Sounds like your hubby needs company. We had people who came in and sat with my grandmother who just kept her company and kept her from getting on the stairs . You might consider looking for such a person while DH is able to remember them. My mom has a 5 day a week person and I think thats about the only person she knows now. A very dedicated nurse who we consider family. She has other care givers but relies on the main one who keeps her busy. My mom's crazy friend got so bad (score of 10 on test of 30) that I was afraid she would need to go to a memory care unit but she had improved now that she has some people she likes.

Chicken tonight with salsa and black beans. Hubby is away which means he is shopping . Horrors!!!
