Good Morning,

I've been sitting at the top of my 129-134 range, and I'd like to reign things in a bit. I actually got to do some raking and garden prep yesterday, as the sun came out and it hit 58 !! I then took Sadie up the escarpment to the state park, and there were still two feet of snow. What a difference elevation makes !

Lots of taxes, traveling, sleep and medication adjustments behind us ! Let's hold the course !!

Good morning! Weight 116.25; calories 1014. So maybe the scale in Florida and here are the same (I was 116.5 on Friday when I last weighed there).

Its good to be back again, though DS is able to make it cluttered even on the couple of days he has been here! The dogs are well, but Chiquita (chihuahua) isn't speaking to me (won't sit in my lap at the usual times). That's normal when I get back from a trip.

DH needs to adjust to the change back here. He was up putting things away in our bathroom at 3:45 am with all the lights blazing. I told him it was too early to be up and to go back to bed. After he turned the lights out he couldn't find the bed, so I had to help him. Sigh...

I am WFH today, so have a day to adjust before more driving. I am talking to my boss about the potential for a compressed workweek tomorrow and have to do the layoff on Wednesday, so it will be a rough week.

Have a good start to your week!

137 OTD, sigh.

No exercise again yesterday. Calories wise a good day, choices - not so much.

Work today, scouts tonight. May be a somewhat normal day.

No bears in my back yard or husband getting lost in the night - though mine was up and about and stirring the dogs about the same time as yours Liz. Thinking about doing some garden prep myself - much smaller this year- probably just tomatoes and lettuces and spinach.

Wt 216 up one. Calories 1653.

Dog sitting went well and everyone home safe. We were sleeping downstairs in the safe room it is 12 x 12 concrete with steel door. They have 2 adjustable beds in it. It is very quiet in there. I always sleep like a rock in the quiet, perfectly adjusted sleeping position. But the trailer sleeps well too.

Steps today will involve painting the walls in the shop. I have moved tools around, built walls, then wired them then covered them with sheeting now paint. Next I will move tools in front of the painted walls and move to the next section to repeat. Divide and conquer. Not aerobic steps but it will do for now.

More later, David

Sleep continues to be delicious and weight remains the same. Having trouble waking up, to be honest. Could have stayed in bed...very unlike me!

Only one dog to groom today - oh joy! I am on my spring break this week. Why I book grooming clients when I need time for me must be due to that codependent streak within.

Shrink later today and then hopefully a movie tonight. Also want to get to the gym this afternoon.

I did go get a Foot Reflexology and mini massage yesterday evening. That was quite nice. I even dozed off a bit during the foot massage part.

We have new baby lambs across the way. The bleating on Saturday night told me we'd have a new little one on Sunday. But it was more than just one! Looks like triplets! There are twins every year, but I'm not used to seeing triplets! One is white as new fallen snow and the other two are ginger with white tails and white socks on the rear legs. Those two are absolutely identical in coloration and markings.

206. It is not real. I know it is not real. I went off the rails Friday night when everything went wrong ... but turned out fine in the end, thank God. My son went to a wedding by himself, I mean with friends but no family safety net. He was staying over at a hotel 20 minutes away from home, but a lot could have gone wrong and a lot did ...

I left my debit card in the ATM after taking out cash for the wedding gift, for my son's pocket money, etc. I was checking him in to the hotel when I discovered that my debit card was missing. I paid the hotel in cash + $100 extra for incidentals, scam, and gave the remaining money to my son, but my son was already stressing hard. I went home and searched for the missing card with no luck because it was in the ATM at work. A co-worker found the card and brought it inside the bank for me and his message finally made its way to me before I canceled the card. So that was very lucky. I was able to get cash back at Target to bring to my son so he would be comfortable knowing that he could go out with his friends after the wedding and have money for breakfast or other food. Not having money in his pocket is a big stressor for him, and I did not want him to have an episode on a night he had been excitedly anticipating.

I left work at 3:00 and finally got home for my me-time night at almost 9. (The grandsons wanted to have a sleepover but I needed alone time to unwind. I even considered going out before the chaos began.) I had not eaten since 3 so it was very difficult to buy healthy foods at Target, which I did, but I also bought baked chips, and a chocolate bar. I deceive myself by thinking that baked chips are better for me and dark chocolate is healthy. Pfffft, I felt like crap afterwards, so it is all crap.

I went back on plan Saturday morning, picked up my son who had a great time, had a sleepover with the boys then went to my brother's house with Costco packs of salmon, asparagus and fresh corn on the cob for him to cook. He bought 3 pizzas for the kids and anyone who didn't like salmon. I did not touch it. I also did not touch the chocolate cake or anything else that was off-plan.

Soooo, I know that the 206 is not real.

Greetings Valiant Maintainers

Well 134-ish today - scale flickered and I gave myself the benefit of the doubt.

Glad you are back Liz. Hope you get retired soon. Sounds like DH is going to need more care. just went through some drama today with my mother's care givers. The main one criticizes the ones from the service. 1800 miles and I can't escape this stuff.

Garden prep sounds good Diane O. DH mowed the front lawn but the back looks like a hayfield. The lawn mover is in the living room. Its electric with a rechargeable battery so no gas fumes but its not my idea of ideal decor.

Devon, glad you are sleeping and doing some things for yourself. Yikes, there are 25 border terriers entered at the shows. 10 specials. What a zoo it will be. I've been to this show before and don't recall such a huge entry. Must be an attractive judging panel.

Joey thank goodness the debit card issue ended well. Stuff like that just panics you. We are so dependent on that plastic but gotta have it.

Hmm, Dave sleeping in the safe room. Sounds sort of claustrophobic but if it works for you, great.

Made egg foo young last night which I haven't had in years. It was pretty good in spite of having to used canned bean sprouts. I am trying to drink a glass of skim milk every day to up protein. Chicken and asparagus tonight. Love it when asparagus is in season and affordable.

Well, taking the dogs for update rabies shots today.

Carbon, bears in the backyard? Is that the first sign of spring where you live? We have them here but not in our neighborhood (that I know of).

Peace and hope to all. Diane S
