Saturday April 1st
I guess it is April Fools Day! No tricks in my pocket other than hoping we can make it from Jacksonville FL to Fredericksburg VA without incident. The planned 5 hour drive yesterday took 7 hours because I75 was stop and go throughout much of the length. I don't mind driving long distances EXCEPT in traffic so I was not happy. But the last couple of hours was on local roads driving by really beautiful farms. This upper part of Florida is really lush, green and quite lovely. LOTS of churches: On one road there were 4 large churches side by side and I wondered how that many people could be in that area!
Weight unknown but calories 1100. Lots of those calories were almonds and I had a protein bar for dinner. I had included dinner time on our travel plans, but we weren't able to make a decent stop (DH had McDonalds chicken sandwich and and fries). One good thing was that the fries didn't even tempt me! DH was better yesterday, though I did finish all the packing and buttoning up of the condo. I do have to call our neighbor (who has a key), as I have thus niggling feeling that I left the garage light on.
Have a relaxing Saturday - I'm hoping we are in Fredericksburg by 5:30 or 6 so we can have dinner and relax there.

Liz hope your travels go well today.
I spent most of the day traveling yesterday. Took my AC to the repair shop and it looks like it is only a fan for right now. It would be good if that was all it was. The manufacturer has a recall so it may not cost anything.
Dog sitting is going good. Got the four wheeler out and ran them till their tongues were hanging out. Really only the boxer. It appears that you can't make a full poodle tired. It is a beautiful site to see them running. Like horses. Looked out in the front pasture and saw 14 deer grazing in the dim morning light. They really do need to be thinned out. I think deer season is over.
Seek Peace, David

I love the image of the dogs running! What needs to be thinned out? The deer (or the dogs waistlines)? (LOL)

Happy Sans Snack Saturday!
Well, really no-graze Saturday but where's the alliteration in that?
125's. Yoga first then the next activity is wearing new Linda jeans. I will dutifully avoid knee bends and dirt as directed by Stylist.
Dave, in my mind's eye I see you enjoying your 4 wheeler dog romp as much as the dogs. Hair blowing in the wind, dogs bounding in slow motion. Maybe I am thinking of a Purina ad.
DianeS (as always) got me thinking. Can I train Siri to answer a question in a particular way? I want to be able to say "Siri! What is today?" and she will enthusiastically respond "Shel! It is Sans Snack Saturday!"
Liz safe journey. I like that you see the beauty along the way.
DianeS/Devon....pics of you two at the dog show would be nice but honestly it is the dogs in their full groomed glory that I want to see. Extra credit if Tesla is captured being naughty.
DianeS....Omaha is hosting a fancy international horse world competition. I think it might be this weekend? Supposedly they beat out London and Beijing for the honor. Thought you might be interested since you have Nebraska roots. Fancy million dollar horses came in from Europe together on their own Boeing jet. I grew up in 4H (like lots in that area) so we all appreciate a good animal show. But the people that go with those horses are sure to be just as interesting. I hope my parents check it out.
That's enough from me. Hug your health.
Shel

HOLY CRAP! The meds, the meds, the meds! What can I say? While I enjoy my light mood, I do hope this intensity of lightheartedness and devil may care attitude levels out a bit. I feel a little too good, I think. I do not care too much about what goes in my mouth, but at the same time I'm productive, getting things done, and SLEEPING SO WELL! I'm amazed by how well I've been sleeping since moving back into my own room and upping the meds. I think this is how most well rested people sleep - without waking up a gazillion times per night.
The psych department deemed me worthy of speaking to the eating disorder intake psychiatrist after my initial interview. The ED psych called yesterday, but we missed each other yesterday. Hopefully Monday we will connect and the saga will continue.
Most excellent workout yesterday. Nice visit with best friend and a nice healthy dinner out.
Getting undressed for bed last night I noticed myself in the full length closet door mirror. Sadly, I am truly heavy, fat, obese, whatever you want to call it. Yet, at the same time I took a good look and managed without judgement to see it and embrace my sizable mass as my current reality. This is not the body I want or really see in my mind's eye. It is helpful to be able to see with gentle acceptance where I am. Without the negative thought running through my mind, I'm hoping that I can start managing my food life again with some better success.
I feel a deep sorrow and resentment that I still am at war with my eating behaviors and the resultant obesity. But hey, at least I'm not depressed!
Hugely busy weekend grooming. Next week is spring break and I'm booked with clients. Need to find a little time next week for me, too.
Bon weekend, peeps!
Sorry for you and your friend: some people are just toxic (to themselves or others).

Greetings Non-Foolers
I have a friend whose birthday is today. Can't imagine what stuff has happened to her over the years.
134 today which I gratefully accept. Shrimp and cole slaw last night. Pretty healthy.
Liz safe trip. Hope you make it in for dinner in time. Ya know, I have stopped at McDonalds during these last seven years. I get a grilled chicken sandwich and eat the chicken only and use the bun like a potholder. Its a pretty good travel option.
Dave, love the image of you taking the dogs for a run. Such fun. Its interesting how dogs love to run. Its the first thing they do when you take them to the beach or a park where they can be off leash. Tesla has not seen the beach yet. I keep meaning to take old Liza for a beach trip even though she can't really run. She used to be very responsive when off leash but now she can't hear.
Ok Devon, no full frontal pictures but at least our smiley faces. And of course dogs. Tesla is so wild she will probably be escorted off premises in a straight jacket! Glad your new meds are helping you sleep. That was a big thing for me when I first started anti depressants years ago. Maybe the sort of super happy feeling is the absence of depression. Glad you can see the ED shrink. A good friend of mine told me years ago that if you really want something you go about it in every possible way.
Hmm, maybe I will get my iphone and ask Siri to pay me a complement or tell me something nice and see what she says. Maybe an IAlarm Clock that wakes you up by telling you how wonderful you are and what a great day you are going to have.
Shel thanks for the horse show tip. I will google it. Omaha used to have a top eight horse race track but its gone so I can't figure out where they would have that horse show. There is a super rich guy there with a large riding facility so maybe its there.
Paula and Joey, hope you are getting a little respite.
Well, did all the gallery banking yesterday and will finish up the taxes this weekend. Have finally got DH trained (after 22 years) to keep all his tax stuff in one place as it comes in the mail and then its all together.
Sun is out which means dogs get a walk. Maybe me too. Namiste. Diane S
