I think you are on track. I doubt that your exceptionally shiny outlook and What-Consequences? attitude will last much beyond a couple of weeks (and maybe shorter.) I think it is just more "activation" that will run its course as your body settles in. I think you had some of the euphoria in the very beginning, too?
I'm curious, have you completed your taper off the original med? Doesn't change my answer above in any way, just keeping track.
Now that I think about it, I don't think negative emotions encourage me to eat but happiness/joy certainly do. And there is a bit of a who-cares that goes with it because I feel so great that I have no doubt that the (over)eating is temporary and I will be able to stop it. (That, unfortunately, is a lie.) Maybe it is my inner Prozac talking.

IMHO, I think you should get some clothes you feel good in. It think it is harder to set your mind to a plan when you aren't feeling good about yourself and knowing you look good helps.

Greetings Fellow Mission Specialists
Well, down a half to 134.5 so thats a small relief. Lentil soup last night which is a comfort food on a cold rainy evening.
Liz I can imagine all the busy bodies there are in a condo complex full of retirees. Well forge ahead with what YOU want to do with your retirement. Nice to be appreciated at work.
Shel your scale must be government issue from the NSA! Sounds like way too much information. Oh My indeed!
Carbon don't know how you can stand walks in the lashing rain. I have become a weather wimp and hate to be out in the slightest sprinkle.
BB I read some of the stuff on your PPI issue. No way would you want a revision to RNY. Like Paula says, if the PPI's work, do it. That and elevate your head at night if thats an issue.
Paula, glad you are fighting the c diff issue. Even though I don't know what it is, its just good for you to take a stand and have some power over some part of your life right now.
Devon, interesting about the feeling the new drug gives you. Not good that it gave you a "what the hell" attitude about food. Or did it? Only you know what made you eat those m and m's. Cripes, why do they have to have that stuff laying around at meetings. Why not just good coffee and tea. Good for you for hiking the big hill. If you can do that you can pass up candies. Hug that puppy.
Well regarding April Fool Jokes, one time one of our pompous partners sent a memo around saying he wanted new office side chairs. Another of us had a purple bean bag chair she was hiding in her office as a surprise for her kids. We took the purple bean bag chair and put it in Mr. Pompous office with a memo that said these had been selected as his new side chairs and he could choose purple, lime green or day-glow orange. It was a hoot and even Mr. Pompous thought it was funny. So you might get some hideous thing as a "Boss Appreciation" gift.
Well enough drivel. Off to face another day in clay. But first more coffee ......
Diane S.
Ok, more drivel from the Drivel Queen who wants to sit at computer and drink coffee.
Why doesn't Apple develop the iScale. It would weigh you, you could ask Seri questions about why you gain weight (think of the answers), you could make phone calls while on the scale, it could take pictures of all your body parts, post your weight on Facebook, be programed to show encouragement, have angry birds in it that you could play with your feet, calculate your body percentage of grey matter, check your feet for athlete's foot, and blow your nose for you. It would yell at you to exercise and pick out your clothing for the day.
Whaddaya think? Ah, coffee is ready.
Diane S,
(One of the few emoticons available on OH that really works!)
