Good Hump Day Morning !!!!
800 days on My Fitness Pal, and the sun is supposed to come out today ! What a fabulous way to start the day! I'm not thinking about the accumulating snow predicted for Friday.
Happy surgiversary Liz ! Joey.. hope your daughter continues to improve. Glad to hear that many sleep and medication issues are resolving.
I took a page from Sadie's training book. Every time I had to walk by the largest bowl of jelly beans yesterday, I firmly told myself "leave it !" Yes, out loud. It worked ! Of I can get Sadie to leave cheese, which I will, I can do it too ! ?

(Six months and one week.) AT GOAL month 8. Maintaining at goal range (139- 144) ~ four (4) years !!
I'm going to pretend I'm Sadie too when I get urges to grab things I shouldn't eat. A good mental reminder!
No weight - way too many calories yesterday. I didn't have many the day before, so maybe that's why I was so hungry. We had to leave our condo for the night and stay at our friends house as we will tonight while they finish tiling the master bedroom. The end is in sight though! I wonder how long this would have taken if they didn't have a firm end date? They were there early yesterday and didn't leave until 6 again. They probably would have been better of working regular days instead of short ones last week. It is much more hot and humid this week.
I felt very tired and a little depressed yesterday. Sleeping has been off some this week, but I think it was the discussion with my boss that did it. I am going to have to layoff someone next week (staff reduction of 10% across the board). The individual has had performance issues, but they are partially related to family problems so this is going to be tough. One of the other people in my group is applying for an open position in another area and will probably get it, so the person I give notice to can apply for that position. However is likely that that there will be a fair amount of competition for the open spot (due to layoffs last month), so this will not be easy.
I made an appointment to talk to my boss in person next week about my retirement thoughts (even though not concrete). It's time...
Thank you for the one year surgiversary wishes. Maybe I'll do one of those flashback posts with pics on the main forum over the weekend. Just realized it would be from a hotel room...
Have a good, productive and skinny Wednesday!

There are so many challenges in this group. Still, folks are taking care of business at work and home, for their families and themselves. We're getting up, suiting up and showing up. Sending out respect to everyone here.
Tomorrow morning hubby and I will leave at dark o'clock for the airport. We'll board the ship on Friday and head toward Portugal. Today's the big push to finish packing. I wish I didn't feel so harried before trips. But thinking about it for a moment, I realize these are feelings / behaviors / habits acquired during decades of stressful business travel. I suppose I could change how I feel, eh? ;)
Per usual, while we're gone we'll be offline and unplugged. That's part of what makes these trips so enjoyable.
See you later, alligators. :) Care first for yourselves so you can care for others.

Happy Sadie day!
I would like a wristband that says "what would Sadie do?" I would get one for Devon that says "wwsd" just to bug him. By the way, auto correct initially changed that to "wisdom." We must be on to something
Will be leaving by 6:30 this morning and out of the house my entire day off. It kicks off with a root canal. Let's just rip that band aid off! Then multiple other obligations with hopefully some time in between to finish up my guideline update for work.
Paula, following Ben's journey with love. Everyone's is unique, for sure, with twists and turns. The need for switcheroos is quite common. No doubt your support relieves some of his stress. Be sure to invest in yourself, too. It is a marathon.
Remember Sadie today, all.

Weight: 157.4 (bound to happen) Calories: approx 850; very low on protein
Definitely not gaining because of that. I've found that after a stomach bug it takes me longer to get my digestion back on track. Anyone else? I'm feeling better but still super-congested and woke up coughing several times last night. I think that congestion is making me not feel much like eating which is awesome and annoying. I want this to lift!!

My life sucks right now! No other way to put it!
I tested possible for c diff. I was told by the urgent care NP that is was okay to return to work but bad news travels fast and within 1.5 hours of me being at work (I told my co-workers of the diagnosis) word got out to my manger who contacted employee health who has now banned me from wor****il I test negative. No idea how long that will take. I started antibiotics last night. I'm not angry - last thing I want is to put patients at risk but damn, I so don't need another bad thing on my plate right now.
Off to bleach the whole fricken house!
