Today is my one year surgiversary. Weight 115, calories 804. It is always strange when calories are low but weight is up 1/2 pound...

Tiling continues. They were here from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm yesterday. I guess there is some pressure after their 5-6 hour workdays last week. I've been told the sense of urgency those of us who normally live in the northeast feel about their jobs is different here. Luckily they obviously are reacting to the fact that they have to be done by end of day Thursday since we leave on Friday.

I was off yesterday, but am back to work (remotely) today. I'm not looking forward to it, but no choice. At least it is a 3 day workweek. Have a wonderful day!

I've been mia the last 3 days or so. I've been reading the post and everyone else sounds so busy too. I was in the bathroom all day yesterday... Painting. White ceiling with yellow walls. Formica on the wall 32" up from the floor. I'm thinking a dark stained trim. Shower door install today. The toilet works too.

We have had buckets of rain lately. Woke yesterday with a big puddle in the floor. I had left the roof vent open all night.

Dog sitting later on this week. Hopefully will have internet in the shop later this week too. Waiting on a cable. it will be nice to post on a big screen again.

More later, David

Happy in the target range. Jelly beans are everywhere !!!! AGH !!!

Sadie gobbled up the cheese on the training floor last night, despite my command to "LEAVE IT !!" That will be an automatic fail, if she does that during her test. The first night, she was so good ! We have some work to do there !!! I know it would help if someone firmly stated "LEAVE IT !!" to me, when passing by the dishes of jelly beans !! So far, the image of dirty, germy hands in the bowl ahead of me is working.

Six days with no sun ....

135.2 - staying pretty stable about 10 lbs. above where I would like to be. Heck, right now I would be happy with a solid 130!

I have the day off today with no super pressing issues. Will go washer and dryer shopping later this morning. We just bought a used junker when we moved into this rental thinking we would only be here a year then off to FL. Now that it looks like we are staying for a bit, I want a big - mom of 3 boys sized washer and dryer again! Am missing aspects of our home that we sold, but over all this will work.

Well....I'm at work! Not feeling great. Sudafed up. We'll see how long this lasts. Actually feeling better than when I first awakened. I have a good feeling that I'll be much better tomorrow, and back to normal Thursday. Nuts! A full week under the weather!

Another workout session missed yesterday. Contemplating today cardio. My sister says hold off one more day and let my body rest, especially since I've been getting so few calories.

Calories: 905, No workout, Weight: 156 still (It's going to be really hard to see that go up when I, you know, eat)

DH went to trainer without me and so the trainer told him "we'll do weightlifting since it's just you." WTH?! I want to do weight training! Apparently he's been doing a girlier plan for me?! So I'm a little perturbed. I'm paying for a trainer because I don't just want to do low weight and just lose fat. I mean, yes, I want to lose fat. But I'm trying to take an entirely different approach this time. I actually want to BUILD muscle. I could just drop the calories really low, just stick to cardio. Been there, done that. But actually I think I might look better with more muscle, even at a higher weight. I may be only 10lbs. away from where I want to be on the scale, so long as I can change my composition. I think we might have to talk about my goals. I'm going to try and give him the benefit of the doubt for now that I am a) so out of shape that this is the best beginning approach, and b) obviously there are some differences between men and women. I know that as a woman I won't get big, bulky muscles and I'm glad for that. But I also think I need to lift and push myself to make any gains at all.

HAPPY SURGIVERSARY, LIZ!!!!!!!

Quick drive by: Have a field trip to prep....

up 2.4 over night - booooo.... I am going to attribute it to low water on Sunday, catching up with water yesterday, some salty food and an effing kick ass workout with pretty heavy lifting. And, I will admit some sugar and carbs crept in yesterday. A perfect storm for water retention.

Rearranged dog crates in the master bedroom and created a pen for the pup and mama Blue. It worked out well for all. I haven't slept so soundly in 5 weeks. I don't recall waking even once last night. I certainly could have slept another couple of hours, but I feel so much better today than I did yesterday. (I was so tired by the end of the work day yesterday, I wasn't paying attention backing out of my parking space and almost took out a parent's car. Someone was watching over me that I didn't plow right into her rear quarter panel!)

Here's a little scale victory for me: While I didn't lose any weight to speak of during the pup's first 5 weeks, I didn't gain any either! I'm pleased about that.

Tomorrow is the day I up dose on new med and completely eliminate old med. I'm a bit anxious about the change over. I'm mostly worried about feeling too drowsy in the classroom. The rest of it I can handle.

Liz, yo! Happy first surgiversary. Forgot to acknowledge that. It's a big deal -- or it was for me. Big damn deal. :)

204. Happy surgiversary, Liz! Glad you got some sleep, Devon. If I don't get close to 8 hours (seriously, 8!), I am out of whack. My daughter is still in the CCU, and the visiting hours are terrible - 9 to 10 p.m. Don't they know that I need to be in bed by 9:30?? She is supposed to be moved to a regular room later today.

My son cooked dinner last night. He is coming along really well with the cooking and it is a huge help to me. He made Kaboom boom cow again (the kids' favorite, they named it--ground turkey drained, with butter, parmesan and mixed veggies). I took the leftovers and mixed it into pasta and vodka sauce for my son-in-law. He put the container on a table and one of their dogs immediately knocked it over. I picked it up before they stuck their faces in it, but a lot spilled. Pffft! I took the boys home, fed them, got them ready for bed, set them up to do their homework and left for the hospital. They were in bed by 9:30, which is late for them. It was difficult to get myself and them up this morning, The younger stays under the covers and asks for hugs, which always works for him, the manipulative rat.

It is rainy and miserable here, so no walk outside today. Boo!
