114.5, 1662 calories: I don't know how my weight didn't go up as 300 of these were in a bad carbohydrate form consumed late at night when I couldn't sleep. It was hot last night and I probably had my caffeine too late in the day because I didn't fall asleep until somewhere between 12-1. Ann, much as I hated to do it I followed my own rules and was up at 5:30 am this morning. I should sleep well tonight. DH seemed to sleep well which is good because he needed it. He went to bed too late the night before and was up early so he didn't function well yesterday.

I am taking the day off as DD is leaving early afternoon and I need to get bills paid and start thinking about packing and our travel day plans for Friday. That is going to be tough with the tiling guys still here until Thursday.

Have a wonderful skinny Monday!

PS: Just checked my email and I have a message from the coordinator at BU for the clinical trial that Diane mentioned. She wants to set up a time to discuss what is involved and determine if it makes sense.

Liz! Very interesting about the clinical trial!

126's today. Eats this weekend were much better than a usual weekend in terms of grazing. I do eat more on weekends than weekdays but I'm ok with that.

Yesterday I yoga's and then my bum was firmly planted for several hours while I worked on guideline up date for work. I made huge progress but it isn't done. Just thinking about it gives me a headache. The last 20% of any project always seems to take 3x's more time to complete than it should.

And I think I might be having a new tooth issue.

Happy Monday, breathe.

Shel

It is hard to be optimistic about the day! I'm glad I'll be at work where I can't easily self soothe with food.

Devon-sounds like a nice birthday dinner! yum!

As far as DSD it's just so complicated. DSD is having a harder time about it because she's lived through it (as opposed to DSS who's been out of the house). Diane, she actually did work at a gym. And I think she may go with us this summer when she moves in with us. She's totally opposite of me--skinny as a rail, eats very unhealthy food, but knows when to stop.

You guys are too kind. I'm feeling pretty guilty about my workouts recently. Wednesday was intentionally a rest day last week, then I was struck with stomach flu Thursday and Friday. I did make it to workout on Saturday but I think I pushed it. No workout yesterday. So only like 3 days in a week! Tonight is supposed to be trainer but I'm highly doubting that.

Still feeling awful. I'm wondering if I somehow came down with two separate viruses or something! My throat is super sore, terrible congestion, so dizzy sometimes I cannot even sit up!

156 holding steady. Not able to eat hardly anything. A real 7up, 10 saltines, and a cheese tortilla rollup. Worried about losing muscle mass. Super sucks to miss work and not get anything done. So over this illness.

Liz, I feel your sleep pain. The pendulum here swung back again last night--got only 5 hours. Part of it is me getting wound up before a big trip. Now I remember why Ambien is so alluring--because when I'm asleep I don't eat.

It's pouring down rain here this morning. We're catching the aftermath of the storm that hit North Texas last night.

Yesterday we worked hard outside, moving 11 Gator loads of tree limbs into a brush pile in the woods. Last night I was already stiff and sore, another reason I didn't fall asleep easily. Nevertheless, hubby and I called it a good day--we got to drive three pieces of farm machinery. :)

Sometimes my son will go to bed early if he has uncontrollable urges to eat. We call it the "Elvis diet".

Weight is stable. Down 4 for the week.

I did not track food at all this weekend, so not stats. At least I did 5 days running. Back to it today.

I am tired, tired, tired. Need to figure out a new sleeping arrangement. It's a tough one with the pup because she needs to have company at night. It's not normal for a puppy to sleep solo at this age and can muck them up emotionally for life if they are deprived of companionship during this crucial stage of development. Have to figure out a way for pup to sleep with Blue that still gives Blue some space and relieves me of monitoring a puppy free roaming in a closed bedroom... May do a little rearranging of my bedroom and set up a couple of adjoining pens for mom and pup. All I can think of is a nap...

Next subject: So, I was, of course, tired last night. I didn't feel like making my yogurt for a snack and since I don't usually eat it until the afternoon, I thought I'd let it slide. Interestingly, I'm feeling hungry and slightly of kilter because I don't have my yogurt on which to rely in case of hunger. I'm also noticing that since I'm not prepared with healthy eats at school, and I'm tired, I am feeling hungrier than I normally do at this point in the morning. I'm wondering how much of this hunger is physical and how much is emotional. Anyway, I've saved my protein shake to have at 10:00 and am sipping water for now. Perhaps 3.5 hours post wake up is too long to go with just coffee and that might be adding the the issue today. I will consider this a good lesson in hunger coping! LOL! I will be just fine, right?

Workout planned for this evening. I'm looking forward to that!

Good week to all!

I've heard that lack of sleep is one of the main reasons for weight gain. The puppy needing a sleep partner makes sense. Good luck getting a situation set up that allows you to sleep too!
