I suppose weight loss is one benefit of a stomach bug, but hope you are feeling good soon!

Greetings Storm Survivors (except Liz who is in the sun)

We had more rain last night but the sun has peeped out and hubby has Tesla out for a walk. He takes the two younger dogs on a 2 mile walk each and I am glad he is doing it for his own sake.

Well dang it, still 134.5. I made tilapia last night with a sauce of the leftover Thai soup. It was pretty good and not bad in calories. Guess I had better get to tracking food again for awhile. This trend must end.

Trip preparation is so exhausting. You rush around with all this stuff and arrive at the ship exhausted. But Ann you will have all those nice resting days at sea. Bring lots of crosswords.

Dave storms in the Airstream are going to take some getting used to. Hope your pets are not the type to wig out during storms.

Lordy we are spending over $100 per month on meds for our pets. Thanks to medicare part D, I spend about $5. We need doggie medicare.

Liz hope that floor gets done. BB hope you feel better soon. Its a good sign that you are craving the gym.

Thinking of you Paula and hope DH enjoys days off of treatment. Enjoy that little one Diane O. Its so fun to watch what they do.

Best to all. Diane S (S stands for slug - I really gotta take inspiration from you all).

Happy Saturday,

I think my Aria scale is kaput. I had hoped the company would give me a discount on another (it is out of warranty by 3 months) but they won't. No worries, a new, different scale will be delivered by Amazon today. I love free same day delivery.

Also on the shopping front...it is triple points time at Nordstrom so I will order those jeans Linda recommended. I totally trust Linda's judgement and have on more than one occasion looked to see just how far away that store of hers is.

Bonnie count me in as impressed by your commitment to keeping up your exercise routine. Devon, I have been thinking of you as I avoiding grazing today. If you can work on it at a dog show surely I can do my part here at home.

I started this post hours ago....time to fini**** off.

hug your health today,

shel

I got the jeans from Nordstrom too - they had the best price, though it seems to be higher now. I paid $95 and the same jeans are $138 on Nordstroms site.

Hey Liz and anyone else interested:

The University of Nebraska Medical School has announced a breakthrough drug showing good results in clinical trials for Parkinson's disease. It also shows promise in Alzheimer's disease. It works differently that the current drugs.

I can't figure out how to post a link but if you Google University of Nebraska Medical School Parkinson's Disease you will find several articles and news clips.

I am going to check into this for my mom (she used to be on the neuroscience faculty there). While her case may be too advanced, I was thinking of potential for your DH Liz.

Hope this is of some interest. Diane Slug

I am DEFINITELY looking into this. Thank you Diane. I too had seen that most clinical trials have been geared to prevention and DH has been ineligible (too far advanced).
