Friday March 24

I woke up thinking it was Saturday, but alas there is one more workday left.

The tiling is still going slowly. Eldest DD arrives this afternoon for a few days and will have to sleep at our friend's place. We will end up there one day next week as well when they tile the master bedroom. I can't wait until it is done but at most we will have 1-2 days here after they are done and before we leave for home on Friday, 3/31. I am taking Monday off next week (DD's last day) and Friday to begin driving. So a short work week at least.

Weight 116, calories 1249. Calories not bad, but carbs were terrible yesterday. I'm not good on stressful work at home days...

Have a wonderful Friday. The weekend is almost here!

I too thought it was Sat. Wishful thinking.

food was great and walked for an hour, in the rain. Did not melt.

happy Friday everyone.

I wasn't sure what day it was.

It seems that Leap Second gave me his stomach bug. Luckily I think it was the 24 hr. variety. But it was the type where not even 7up could be had :( Calories were 590, but not all that stuck. And weight is ridiculously low today at 157. Fun to see, though.

Feeling quite lethargic this morning, but wanting to get back into my routine. Wednesday was our rest day from working out because of a professional meeting I had. Unfortunately yesterday was a sick day. So now I'm trying to decide how to shift the rest of our workouts. This week we don't meet with the trainer until Monday. Normally we'd do cardio tonight, weights Saturday, Cardio sunday, weights Monday. And that's probably what we'll do. But we will have missed a full weights session this week if we do that (was supposed to be weds or thurs). Alternatively we could do weight tonight, cardio tomorrow am, weights Sunday morning, then weights Monday evening (I've heard it's okay to do weights back-to-back as long as it's no more than 2 days back to back. And it would be more like 36 hours in between.) I don't want to overexert myself though.

My sleep is starting to even out. Looking back on the last nearly three years as I've worked to strengthen my health and lifestyle, it's obvious that improvements just take (1) knowing what to do, (2) time, and (3) consistency. Such a goofy epiphany, but that doesn't make it any less true.

It amazes me how much and in how many ways we have changed by dint of our own efforts. We are not perfect or fixed. But we are all working at layers far below the ones we first tried so hard to peel.

TGIF!

134.5 I think

Play week for DS#2. First showing last night was awesome. Looking forward to more shows tonight and tomorrow afternoon. My parents are visiting too so that is nice.

Feeling the need to get back into a regular exercise routine, perhaps next week! ; )

202. I can feel that my weight is about to drop. I was so confident this morning even after seeing the number on the scale, that I tried on my favorite size 10 Calvin Klein pencil skirt that had become too tight to wear. Yup, I am comfortably wearing it with a slim-fit sweater that is useless in covering any issues.

Last night was our monthly support group. We missed last month due to my daughter's troubles. My son was very happy to tell the group that he got his psych clearance and will be scheduled for surgery in May or June. Yay!

The dynamic of the group always interests me. There are a few that have very useful information to contribute and others who just want to pat themselves on the back. I always try to be one to contribute and LISTEN so I LEARN how to help myself and my son. So many do not listen. The group leader asked if anybody had any advice to the newbs. I advised them to follow the rules and do what the doctors and nutritional tell you to do. I always say the rules do not apply to me (they don't mean me), but unfortunately, they do. Follow the rules and it works. If you change the rules, you change the outcome. I said it more for myself.

I had started to believe that because the honeymoon period was over, my weight loss was over, and the weight gain was just to get to where my body wanted to be. Mullarkey! As you guys know, I was not following ALL of the rules.

Greetings to All Who Do Not Know What Day It Is

That happens to me often since I don't have a real job anymore. My life is run by my computer and if it doesn't get on my computer calendar, then forget it.

Still 134.5 today and not happy. Hubby brought home leftover Thai food from lunch so that was dinner. Not much protein but it was sure good. I think there was a lot of sugar in the coconut lime soup.

Not much planned for today. Gotta photograph some art pieces for upcoming opening publicity. DH has a little photo cube and lights that makes it easy and nice looking. It poured rain last night though its stopped now. Must have been windy as I can see deck furniture has rearranged itself. And I sure better get going on the taxes. I do them myself and we have a business entity for my art stuff.

Glad you had a good food day Carbon and everyone else who did.

Get well BB and keep up the gym. I gotta figure mine out and get in there.

Good 3 part insight which I need to consider more and adopt. Feeling sort of in limbo these days which is a sure way to get nothing done. When we first moved here we used to explore the trails and beaches often and I thing we need to get back to that as there is plenty more to do.

Well I have nothing meaningful to say about maintenance today so I will sign off.

Peace and health to all. Diane S

The week has just flown by. The month is nearly ended.

WT 216.2 undeserved. But overall is trending downward. Didn't track yesterday but included a hardys biscuit and some other junk food. Travel days make it too easy to grab something off plan. Urgency in the bathroom. Could be the junk food or could be passing this bug back around.

BB, I don't think it's the same bug, no workouts with my bug. LOL. Just lying around trying not to be dizzy or in the bathroom. Good thing it doesn't last long.

Went back to our house yesterday to get the old AC unit I pulled out of the airstream because the repair guy on the phone said sounds like a new one is in my future. I cleaned the old one up and switched it out today. It might buy me some time. It cools. A new one is $1K. Maybe they can fix the new one I took out for less. Or maybe warranty? They wanted $250 just to come to the woods to look at it. It is easier to just take the unit to them.

Ann, I am with you. I enjoy normal, regular boring days where nothing breaks or stresses.

Seek peace, do good. David

Very late check in today. Will keep it short.

Cals - 1532, protein - 87, carbs - 132 (eeeek!), fat - 74 (Holy Wow! - oops!)

Finished article for OH and submitted. Editor seemed genuinely pleased. It made Ron chuckle, too, so that was good.

Dog show weekend. Always problematic concerning food. I am resolved to keep my eating on program. I must remember that hunger is not an emergency and that it's probably even good for me.

Am TIRED after a long week. Sleep is coming late, which does not work when one has to get up before the chickens!

Off to groom the big puppy, Ace.
