I hope your friend takes your advice to heart and makes changes. Hard to not be able to help other than via words.

116 today. Probably at least a pound of pent up you know what. Haha. Need to get better focused on producing regular poop again. Nowhere else I could say that.

Life seems to be ticking along in a holding pattern with nothing much positive or negative to report these days. I suppose that's more good than bad.

Still ruminating about what role, if any, alcohol consumption should play in my life. As I've said, my main concern is the overeating connected with it, but that's not to say that my 'bad habit' could not turn into addiction too. What a double whammy that would be.

There's some evidence to support that physically abusive spouses drink to permit themselves to hit their partners. Maybe something similar is going on in me - drinking is my unconscious gateway to abusing food. Just a musing and in the end it doesn't matter - chicken and egg? - I overeat when I drink!

The weather is much better this week. I'm off today and thinking of making a trip to a small nearby mountain town that happens to be the home of a fav shoe store :). I've been skimming your posts and chuckled at the discussion of my dressing room!

Hey Linda, I did get those jeans you recommended. Do you know if they are available in short? I'm going to have to get mine altered!

There are some crop versions but that's not the same as a short (which is completely altered). i have mine shortened or if under colour is good I merely cuff them (wide cuff as opposed to roll). I'll try to send pic later.

"drinking is my unconscious gateway to abusing food" - I need to think about that myself too!

I also bought those jeans. Love them!

ACK! I wrote an entire post and somehow deleted it before posting. BOOOOOOOOO! Not going to recreate the whold darn thing. Long and short was:

Weight - up .4 or .6 (not quite sure)

Calories - 1583; protein - 103; carbs - 129; fat - 64

Overall, an okay food day, but laced with a poor choice here and there to the tune of 280 calories and 46 carbs! Oh well,...

Med transition continues...

Greetings Dear Ones

Well I am up to 134.5. Not good. Not happy. Had a slow day yesterday with gallery duty and eating an atkins bar and several cheese sticks. Dinner was some hamburger and refried beans. Also some peanuts. And wine. See a trend? No veggies and not enough protein.

Studio board meeting today so gotta get going. Sun is out and dogs want to bask.

Glad you had a celebration for your friend Diane O, but so sad that it had to happen.

Paula so sorry for your DH reaction to the treatment and glad you were there. How frightening that must have been for you both. Is such a reaction very common?

Ann I too am enjoying days that are not heavily scheduled though I could stand the schedule of a cruise. Shel how good of you for offering to take Ann's place. Friend indeed.

Well Devon, our dog show is fast approaching and Tesla is no where ready. I am preparing to be humiliated.

Well tile or any construction job always takes longer than it should. Just one of those rules.

My SIL that had surgery for intestinal blockage is being released from the hospital into rehab. She is not happy about it but its for the best. I don't see how she could manage even with home care. She had been hoping to have vsg sometime but I think this pretty much rules it out.

Well better get going. This important board meeting is more like a coffee klatch. Diane S
