Weight 115, calories 1466. The floor tiling is going well but slow - I don't know how they are going to finish in a week at this pace especially with the 5 hour workdays they are putting in. Good thing we can go stay at friends when necessary (they are away for a couple of weeks). I went there to work yesterday. I'd really like this done early in the week so I can get the place back in shape and pack to leave a week from tomorrow. Oldest DD is coming to visit tomorrow to Monday.

Have a good skinny day!

Good Morning!

Nine teachers and I met for dinner last night at a Japanese Bistro, which was a favorite spot of a dear colleague we lost last year. Fortunately, her birthday is the week after she and her son were murdered by her husband, and we choose to celebrate her birth and life as opposed to focusing on the anniversary of her death. This focus keeps us in a positive mind frame, as we move forward together.

The center of the huge round table was a massive lazy Susan. We all ordered and shared three courses of appetizers, sushi, and entrées. I did a good job of focusing on protein and portion control, although the elongated meal was too close to grazing for me to do often.

I'm blaming the white rice, I haven't had in ages, for the nightmare I had about a rabid rat trying to bite me. Sweet Sadie licked my face until I woke up. I'll remember that when she snores !!?

Come on Spring !

Diane, what a tragedy to occur and to witness. It has ominous vibrations for my friend's situation.

135.2 - same as yesterday. Didn't have a chance to check in yesterday, super busy day.

DH had an allergic reaction to his chemo yesterday. Thankfully I had decided to take my lunch break and go in by him because I don't think he would have/could have called the nurse in time! His blood pressure dropped into the 60's for the top number (very, very low) and his oxygen plummeted into the mid 70's (it should be at least 90). He was sweating buckets! Very scary for a bit!

My parents are here visiting which is nice. Got the adjustable bed delivered yesterday. It felt rock hard compared to our sleep number but I actually slept pretty good on it! Hopefully that continues.

Wishing you all a happy day!

Paula

OMG - I'm glad you were there! When my daughter had chemo she had a dystonic reaction to a drug they gave her for nausea (reglan). We had to go to the ER on a weekend where it kept getting worse while we waited and people were looking at her very oddly. Her head kept bending fully back or forward (wouldn't stay straight). It took several hours and a couple of residents to figure out what the problem was and give her benedryl to counteract it.

Hi Guys,

No weight this morning, DH in the way. Of note, he has no problem weighing when I am there.

Terrible food day yesterday, all about grazing. Thought about drastic compensation today but decided to eat mostly normally but in lower calories for the next few days.

DianeO, what a funny dream! What a good girl Sadie is.

Hug your health tight!

Shel

It seems like most guys are definitely less uptight about weighing in front of other people.

I did some grazing a while ago while working and now my tummy isn't feeling so well - serves me right (VSG is good)!

Veggies/fruits: 7 (goal is 7)

Would've slept more, but spent three hours last night "talking down" a good friend who's in crisis and despair and suffering from abuse, stress and exhaustion. Terrible situation. I think / hope she'll soon make some necessary changes.

Still, I followed Liz's "get up at the same time anyway" sleep rule, the value of which I'm appreciating more and more. Veggies/fruits were on target yesterday, as was exercise.

The older I get the more I enjoy normal, regular, boring days.

Your upcoming cruise will surely interrupt your coveted groove of normal, regular and boring.

Tell ya what, I'll take the hit for you. You stay on the farm, I'll get on the boat. Cuz that's the kind of friend I am ;)
