Morning all
A brand new week! Yay!!!!
hosted a baby shower which was the first for many many years. The new mother's mother lives in another part of the world so she has asked all of us (20) is we would be her mother. Very touching. Her husband joined us and did his best to look interested when the finer points of baby clothes were discussed. It really was a good time. Had put out the fancy China cups and silverware. And there was a lot of food but not one sweet thing crossed my lips.
Lots of walking and gazing at the heather that is in full bloom. Lovely.
hang on in there troops. We can do this.
The shower and heather gazing started my day with a smile. Great images, Carbon.
On the docket today, Zumba, a massage, digging out and reviewing my Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) materials to integrate with Reiki practice and continued use of Cognitive Behavior Therapy. I think I may be on to a powerful combination ! Let's not forget the plumber coming to en suite toilet, which has been making gurgling, swooshing noises in increasing frequency. My water bill has been increasing dramatically, and I finally put the two things together and lifted the lid. The toilet has basically been semi-flushing and refilling hundreds of times a day.... literally $$ down the drain !
Happy first day of spring !!

Good morning! Weight 116.5, calories 1269 (calories might be higher as I was estimating a bit).
I am taking today off to spend time with SILs (who are leaving tomorrow). DH had some rough spots yesterday with anger then some crying later - partially because he was overtired from the night before (only about 5 hours of sleep). Change in routine is NOT good for him. He tried to get up with me before 6 this morning and I told him to go back to bed. Speaking of which, I think we need to replace the mattress as every movement is communicated to the other person.
Have a great Monday!

New week indeed. It is supposed to get to 75 today here. The bees will be out in full force. I will have to open up the shop door and maybe even turn on the fan. Steps today is redo on some of the plumbing. I forgot the drain to the hot tub. Big "oh no". It will be major relief if I can get that out of the way then on to getting the bathroom in. It is not a mistake unless you can't fix it.
Diane O, We worked in a Children's home with lots of bathrooms. One month a toilet flap was hung up and $150 went down the drain. They said they would wave it one time but couldn't wave it a second time even for a children's home. It might be worth asking.
Liz we switched to a tempur pedic foam mattress. We never knew when the other got out of bed. Now we have a walkway between us but still foam type mattress.
Shel hope you made it home from freeway driving practice.
Wishing the best for all. More later, David

The temperpedic are super expensive aren't they? Also what about being hot? I still get hot flashes at night periodically.

Yes they are and they have changed the chemistry of the foam where they cool you. We bought one similar to tempurepedic for my FIL online from Sikeston, Missouri. I couldn't tell a difference. They come rolled up via UPS and you open them up and let them set 48 hrs I think. The same guy sells on ebay Here for King and Here for queen They also sell them in 8" and 10" You do need a platform to put them on.

Happy First Day of Spring!
Dave and I have the same heat wave coming our way. In celebration of spring, I'm wearing open-toed shoes.
Last night I slept really well. Busy day -- a trip to the (relatively) big city with a sister. Hubby and I will miss doing our crosswords together. Still dreaming of Linda's closet.
Be safe, be well, make good choices.
P.S. Look at my veggies/fruits yesterday -- 8! The star of the show was a perfect mango, which we shared.

Good morning!
No weight. DH in the way and I doubt that the scale is fixed anyway. I have a message out to Fitbit about it.
Mattress: DD's Music Booster's are doing a fund raiser selling mattresses. Hard to imagine buying a mattress thru the music boosters.
Dave, made it home aok with DD but there is nothing like having a 16 year old in the driver's seat to realize that my routine 15 minute yoga drive is jammed packed with learning opportunities. Considering everything, she did aok. I continue to be amazed how well she does learning to drive in an urban environment. So very different than me learning to drive tractors first on the farm then later in a car on wide open beautiful rural roads. Pretty soon, the tulip farms will be blooming just north of here and I'll have her drive around those farms for fun. I wonder if rural driving will seem scary to her.
Hug your health tight,
Shel
