P.S. Congrats Carbon on a good night's sleep. Something indeed to be valued.

My younger and very skinny brother has been diagnosed with sleep apnea. He says getting a normal night's sleep using CPAP has made him feel much better. Diane S

Weight today: 135.8

Food yesterday: Cals - 1,719, Carbs - 199, Fat 65, Protein 87, Sugar - 98, Fiber 30

Exercise yesterday: Aquarobics

I'm posting late today. Had a rough night last night -- got maybe one hour's sleep. Could NOT get to sleep, and after about 4 hours got up and watched Netflix and read. Next time that happens, I'm running a deep, hot bathtub and hopping in. Gotta figure this out!

Carbon, I'm glad YOU got some sleep last night. So frustrating when that doesn't happen.

Happy birthday, Liz! Enjoy your night out with friends. Celebrating another year around the sun and anticipating the next trip around is so worth noting. :)

Paula, hubby has also been sent to rehab during his various cancer treatments. However, he prefers working out with his old cardio rehab crowd (he had double bypass in 2004); three days a week they hang out on treadmills, ellipticals, NuSteps, etc., where they are spoiled by some very nice nurses.

Brenda, I am following with interest your exercise odyssey. Next week our wonderful yoga class (same teacher, same participants) will relocate to a gym (where we'll have our own yoga room), so I'm thinking of joining the gym primarily to lift weights. Back in my 20s and 30s I ran with a SoCal bodybuilder crowd and for years lifted very heavy weights. That's a long story. ;) Anyway, I certainly wouldn't lift weights to lose weight. The benefits are about gaining more muscle and bone mass, toning, and getting stronger, etc.

Here's to everybody getting a great night's sleep tonight. :)

We have many past cardiac rehab patients that continue to come year after year to our Health and Fitness program! We really do become like family to each other! It is this program and we will also put the cancer rehab patient's in.

Paula, "family" is exactly how my hubby and his friends and the nurses / others who work in the cardiac unit feel, too. They have a holiday party every December, meet-ups for coffee at local cafes, etc. And the staff there are literal angels on earth. The patients feel so very cared for. What a wonderful resource these places are. :)

So late to post today. Not for lack of trying.

Report cards done. Yay! Worked diligently until about 11:00. Checked them all today and got them stuffed in envelopes. All ready to go home tomorrow! Still have some reading tests to finish up, but other than that another trimester in the bank!

Started the weaning process for meds today - reducing one and adding the other. Can't tell if the new med made me feel tired this morning or if it was real fatigue. However, by lunch time I felt odd. It was like I was jittery, but without the jitters. Not anxious, not on edge, just as if there was an emptiness in my core. I also felt as if I wanted to list to the right. Just and odd feeling that lasted for a bit. Seems to have passed.

Staying on program has been a bit easier today. A placebo effect, I'm sure, but I'll take it!
