early morning everyone. Yes, heading for yet another sleepless night. This, in spite of digging in the garden, walking for an hour and cleaning cupboards.

Paula, wow! Hang on in there girl! You are amazing! As is everyone else here who are in the throes of whatever life is handing them right now.

hope that you northeastern folks are ok. Huge storm. More shovelling.

hope that your Tuesday is a good one.

So sorry sleep was alluding you Carbon. I am in NJ on at a hotel and didn't sleep as well as home, but not bad, though I had a really weird dream about DH having an affair with a young woman I used to work with (and he never met).

No weight since not at home, but calories were only 1022 (not much time to eat with travel). I had a great crab cake for dinner last night at the restaurant next door (from the appetizer menu). It was almost all crabmeat! Today will be a challenge with all meals brought into the meeting. Hopefully it will be easy to extract the protein portions. I did bring a baggie of almonds for an afternoon snack when needed, and protein bars as well.

It is supposed to snow 1.5-2 feet here but the meeting is going forth because all the execs are here. The offices in Massachusetts had already announced closure as of last night.

Paula, you are such a strength for your husband. I think you'll final that the radiation and chemotherapy staff are really cheerful and positive, so that should help as well.

Hapve a good day!

Snow amounts have been scaled up to 28"-32" with blizzard conditions. Cranked up heat, and closed curtains in preparation for loss of power. Gathered candles and flashlights. Pulling out all my heavy weather insulated gear. This was much more fun with a significant other, but Sadie and the cats definitely qualify as superior companions, and Sadie a mutual heat source.

Stay warm and safe everyone... burn those calories ! Healing energy to all.

Good morning!

124's.

Sounds like everyone is hunkered down for their own personal storms.

Paula, I'll echo what Liz said...those people in the oncology departments are special peeps.

Warmth and comfort to all today,

Shel

Weight today: 134.8

Macronutrients: Cals - 1,558, Carbs - 163, Fat - 59, Protein - 92, Sugar - 87, Fiber - 22

Veggies/fruits yesterday: 4 (goal is 7)

Exercise yesterday: Walked inside the town sports/theater complex (the pool was closed due to wintry weather -- weird!)

Plans for today: Yoga here at home, housework, read and do crosswords with hubby

Yawn! Having some get-off-Ambien program sleep issues, which I hope are temporary. This morning I woke up very late after only 4 hours of sleep and missed yoga class. My bedtime hygiene has suffered the last few nights--I've been watching Netflix movies in bed on my iPad. That's a bad habit to start! The good news is that last night I saw "Midnight in Paris." I love that movie and I saw it at a theatre in Paris the weekend it premiered. Sigh. Time to go back to Paris.

Paula, I second others' comments that chemo lounges are kind places and that treatment nurses are amazing. You'll meet cancer patients and their families from all walks of life. Those places are some of the most equalizing places in society where only life's basics seem to apply. Continuing good wishes for your hubby's recovery.

Weight 162. Calories 1394. I did track the darned easter eggs. Gah. Macros not so great--only 23% protein. Will try to do better today. Yesterday was our trainer workout minus trainer. I had a bit of a meltdown on Saturday. He started me on wayyy too heavy of weights, then because of that went too light. I kept going between feeling like "I can't" and feeling like I wasn't pushing myself (too light). So I vowed to do better last night. And surely I did! I did the entire workout with appropriate weights and was dripping sweat! Plus one mile on treadmill to fini**** off. About 90 min. at the gym. 16/22

Came home to a zucchini lasagna. Nope. Very soupy. I mean it was alright, but I felt like I was just eating meatsauce with cheese. I'm very much a believer in eating good food, so I think next time I'll save up the cals/carbs and go for real lasagna. Tweaked with lowfat cheese and lean grd beef of course.

Was reading over yesterday's post and posted on yesterday's, oops.

Wt 219 OTD. Calories 1457.

Spent the day correcting mistakes in framing. I haven't done much framing. I was thinking like a cabinet maker. Funny thing is that it wouldn't have mattered because the rooms are small, there is no structural weight on it and it is all going to be covered up soon with sheets of OSB. But I just couldn't let it go. So I spent a day and fixed it. I feel better going forward.

Today I take my mom to the cardiologist. DW to get her hair done. And me, buy N&Y because they don't have much of a selection here. I do buy Amazon for some of it. It takes some planning to enable my obsession.

Seek peace and do good, David
