A safe room in my area is a room in the house that has been reinforced to provide protection from storms or intruders. Our house has a 10x10 bathroom with concrete walls ceiling floor and triple bolted door. I was thinking about modifying a small room in the shop with double 3/4 plywood with sheet metal between per government website on storm rooms. It would be easier to get in and herd the animals into. We built ours thinking about wheelchair access. We are not there yet but just looking at progression of chronic pain. If it is easier to get into you are more likely to use it.

BB, sounds like you really enjoyed the workout. I don't think I have ever said working out was fun.

Liz, rif at work can be scary. It would make me wonder if the company has bigger troubles or they just hired a new accountant trying to trim fat.

Merger prep?

No, they buy other companies regularly (just bought one). They also reorganize every 5 years more or less. Just when things have settled down and you can make improvements they reorganize and cause chaos. The business unit I was in (and still support) fell far short of financial goals last year, hence the personnel cuts.
