Tuesday February 21
116, calories 1474. WFH again today with the doggies. Which reminds me - can't wait to get an update on Devon's new pup! DS is moving out near his new job, though he will continue to stay here once or twice a week on his days off until he gets an apartment (renting a room until June).
DH is doing well so far on his own in Florida with friends checking on him. Somehow he got the TV off the cable setting and couldn't figure it out so they fixed it for him last night.
The drama at work continued yesterday afternoon - everyone is waiting for the other shoes to drop (which will probably take a few months and be one at a time). One of the managers I have worked with for the last 10 years is definitely losing her current position (they are eliminating it). The good news is that they are offering her some alternative ones, but they will all involve a demotion. Her former department is going to suffer greatly as the next level of management down relied heavily on her expertise and the head of the department (her former manager and their soon to be new boss) does not manage people well (unless they are fully experienced and need little guidance). Good thing I have some concrete things to work on as this speculation can eat you up.
Have a great Tuesday everyone!
PS: Almost lost this post as it said the server was not responding - luckily I was able to go back and copy it!

Good morning ! Back home sweet home ! I got home after 1 AM, and didn't get to bed until almost 3. There was just some cleaning and unpacking that HAD to happen, and I was still too wound to sleep. I was back up at 6 AM, after waking with my mind still racing.
There are a couple of hard deadlines for federal and state reports I have to address this week. I'll take a quick shower, change my sheets, and pick up my sweet Sadie at 9 AM, when the kennel opens. Depending upon how she is doing, I'm planning to take her to work with me (Winter Break and not many office people will be in) .
Lots of water retention from twelve hours of airports and flying. Not weighing on until tomorrow AM.
Devon... puppy is adorable ! Love catching up on everyone's activities and organization, as well as self care.

And that's what a day-long road trip can do to my veggies / fruits; I should always take an apple along. Otherwise, it was a good day. I've been looking for brown straight-leg jeans and yesterday found a pair at my fave consignment boutique - $15 for Chicos size 0 (real size 4). Can't beat that.
Got back in time for afternoon coffee, biscotti and crosswords with hubby. Good to go, good to come home. :)
Liz, so good your hubby is doing well and has backup there; it really does take a village. Carbondated, your walk and daffodils sound lovely. Welcome home, Ocean.
