That's ALL good news -- right, Liz? I especially love the "looking rested" reaction to your FL. I predict you're gonna love retirement! And that crack chicken looks awesome! I'm going to make that stuff.

Greetings Maintenance Experts
133 today. Spent yesterday going through and tossing papers and organizing stuff for taxes. Also organized my art supply area. Amazing what junk I found that I did not know I had. Still looks like I didn't do anything but there is more space and I know better whats there. I even found some doggie clothes that I didn't know I had. Probably were a gift. I will send them to my mom's nurse who has a toy poodle who is always dressed up and comes to work with her.
Shrimp and eggs last night . Fluffy eggs sounds good. Are they hard to make? Ditto Crack Chicken.
Well good on you Ann for starting the yard clean up. Ours really needs it but its just too wet to work out there. But the flowering trees around here (I think flowering cherries) are blooming and redbuds and dogwoods will soon follow. Our town isn't much of a town but the main drag has a riding trail and is nicely landscaped with all sorts of flowering trees, heathers and rosemary. And I have seen a few red rhodies.
Well Devon I know you ate crappy because you were at a dog show. They have awful food. Saw your pic on Facebook. Good luck with puppy and the c section and let us know how it goes. And we hope you can write the OH article. You are such a good writer plus have so much insight on the regain issue.
Good for you Paula for being so dedicated to the scouts. Those activities are so important for kids.
Tesla got so wild last night we put her on the doggy treadmill to run some energy off. It worked sort of. Maybe we can get her on an outside walk today if the rain holds off. She is trying to jump up onto the kitchen counter and probably will make it pretty soon. Nothing is safe.
We are having an art show "Frogs and Friends" in June and its fun to see all these little frog figures underway. I have to get some going.
Well so much for today's mundane details of a peaceful life. Diane S
Drive by posting on Day 6 of my protein shake reset. Boy I hate it but I'm almost done and I'm seeing 112 the last couple of days. DD has stuck with the reset so I'm determined to do the full 7 days for her.
Holiday Monday but I'm at work so will read your posts later. Peace out

Hi All! The weather around here has warmed up the past few days, so there's lots of melting going on. We can see the corner of our back deck again. I so enjoyed yesterday's beautiful warmth (almost 50 degrees!) and sunshine. We went snowshoeing and kept at it for about an hour. It was so much fun! I only fell once. My youngest started saying she wanted to go home, about 1/2 way through, but I gave her the choice to wait in the car or continue on with us. I was tired and a bit sore after, but it was a great tired - the physical kind, not the mental kind. Food was much better yesterday and today. I can't say I didn't have a few carbs, but no foods my monster loves.
Once I finish this note, I'm going to get in my pj's and watch TV in bed, then hit the hay early. Along with trying to feed the soul, and move more, I also have to try to get better sleep. I can easily get into the pattern of staying up late, then needing to get up early for work, and constantly being tired, which leads to wanting carby comfort foods to increase my serotonin, then crashing and starting all over again. The longer I'm on this journey, the more I understand the OA saying about not getting too hungry, angry, lonely or tired - HALT. Each on it's own can increase my poor food choices, all or most together is a recipe for disaster. So, at least for today, I'm making the better choices. Hope you all have a peaceful rest of Monday! Hugs, Mary
Mary, what a fabulous expedition! I bet you sleep like a log tonight.
