Yes, today is a new day! Good morning to all on this Saturday. It's my last morning in Florida for a while. We leave for the airport just before noon and I'll arrive back in Massachusetts around 5. We visited NH friends renting for a month in Naples. What a view they have from their balcony of the ocean and beach!  Of course the condo they rented would sell for 800K - out of our range!  But the view was spectacular and the sound of the waves was wonderful (photo below). Our place gives us privacy, tranquility and convenience (and a lot more square footage), so we are happy.

Weight 114.25, calories 1817. Have a great day!

Wt: still don't know. Didn't get the scales.  Calories are about the same.

We are 98% moved.  I am 100% tired of moving and would just throw it all away rather than move it again.  The bees are moved.  The cat captured and released in the shop until she get her bearings.  Marble the 11 year old boxer is a little confused by the whole thing and Bosco the havanees is just happy wherever he is as long as it is with DW.  I left China with my DD#1 because of the tension with Marble.  It is her dog anyway but we were feeding it while she was getting her life together.

More later, David

Happy Saturday!

122's.  Kcals 1495. Protein 114, carbs 136, fiber 18, sugar 76, fat 60, really low on f/v!

Just had a cookie WITH breakfast.  Alternative Fact: if one categorizes this as "on plan" in MFP, then it is truly on plan.

Sheri, are you sure you have to leave DOD?  I'm really thinking we need you in our DOD.  I like your entire concept of hour long productivity sprints!

We are going to choose a new gas fireplace today to replace the one that blew out.  Between that, new furnace and air conditioner, I am financially tapped out.  But then I see Nordstroms has new spring shoes out (why do I even look?)

Find your skinny superpower today!

Good news here - found out this week that our 2016 federal/state taxes were zero, thanks to my retirement and unwinding-the-biz expenses.  First time that's happened since I was in college!  We'll spend our IRS refund on road, farm and home maintenance.  Sexy, huh?  ;)

Hope everyone has a great weekend. :)

Shel,

It's TINY, compared to an Iowa farm!  It's only 25 acres and really just a half-woods and half-fields "property," where we and deer and turkey and the odd bobcat hang out.  We need some maintenance done on our tractor and Gator and ZTs and a LOT of gravel brought in to replenish our gravel roads and some fencelines straightened up.  Plus, this is the year to fertilize the fields again, which we let a very nice actual-farmer neighbor hay.

Decided that going to the rooftop hot tub to watch the storm after an hour of free weights and cardio would be fun... not much different than a hot tub in snow.... When the palm trees bent in half, and the deck furniture began to blow, rethought things and spent some time in sauna after making a wet dash for it in the wind. Lost power in the hotel twice, but the generator kicked right in.

My heart goes out to those who lost so much, and now can't get warm and dry. Will have my first "Lyft" ride into metro to LA for immigration march with my daughter.

Sounds like a classic SoCal adventure.  :)  I lived in Greater L.A. for 20 years.  Still miss the beauty of California.  Still think it's the most gorgeous state of all.

Forgot to weigh this morning. Pre occupied with Blue and the impending C section. Monitoring her temperature and watching her like a hawk so that if she decides to go into labor early we are on it and at the vet lickety-split. No sense in risking the lone wolf pup's life at this point. Got to give it every chance possible.

Yesterday food choices were less than optimal. Code for "I ate a fair share of empty crap calories!" But, on the positive side of yesterday....

During my workout with my trainer yesterday my legs (quadriceps) reached failure and I looked at the trainer and said, "I can't do anymore. My legs won't do it." He smiled broadly and said, "That's good." In the HIIT routine for this week there are THREE, COUNT THEM THREE!, intense leg jello exercises  : single kick lunges using three steps, burpees with a 25 pound sand weight, and finally side steps over the three steps with an added 20 pound dumb bell pressed to chest. Add ab work and upper body exercises to that and that's my routine. do that three times and I'm done. My heart rate nearly hit 160 bpm. Whew!

Ron will watch Blue while I hit a show quickly today. My plan is to be on track with food. Must think about spring and summer clothing and optimal health to help me maintain the quest for today.

It is gray and drizzly with calm skies. Very much welcomed after yesterday's horrendous rain and high, high winds. We got nothing here compared to down south and let me tell you, it was pretty bad up here! I can only imagine down south were Diane O is.
