Good thing you got that upper lip taken care of. Between your and Paula's recent experiences with skin cancer, I have dermatologist on my list of next doctors to see while I still have good healthcare insurance.

Everything is the same: weight/macros/rain

Just a quick drive by.....glad to see a lot of good stuff going on!  Much better than eating a bagel with cream cheese from the break room!   Sheri, OUCH about your lip.  Having it front and center does make it worse.  Fast healing vibes to you.

Have a great day all!

Shel

115 for me. Started the one week protein shake regime with DD yesterday. I don't recommend it! Not for the faint of heart, that's for sure.  But in support of her, I'm willing to do it in hope it will help her stop grazing and get more in control of her food choices.

It's my day off but I'm going on an appointment today with our boutique's buyers to give my input on a line of dresses for working women. I've never done this so should be an interesting learning experience. Not that I aspire to become a buyer at this point in my life, but it's always been understood that I would give input on some of the target groups they are trying to grow.

Devon, hope your day was wonderful. Belated happy birthday to you!

That sounds like an interesting side to your job Linda. I think working women are back in dresses and skirts more than for a while where it was all dress pants and sweaters.

Greetings Precious Pound Preventers

132.5 again today. Things seem back to normal food wise after a few straying days.

Carbon, what a nightmare!  I sometimes have food nightmares but they involve me eating a bowl of whipped cream and when I wake up I am relieved it didn't happen. Its odd because I do not crave bowls of whipped cream even though I would eat it in a heartbeat if there were no consequences.

Liz, glad you and DH were able to talk. My mother has dementia from Parkinson's disease and she went through a kind of angry stage insisting she could do things she couldn't. (like walk). But she gradually became more accepting and pleasant. Anyway, glad you found some constructive things to address this.My mom really likes to do adult coloring books now and does her own drawings too even though she can barely eat or speak. My grandmother had diagnosed alzheimers and often went to adult day care which she enjoyed. I still have some of the art she did.

Sheri so sorry you have the skin thing but glad you got it treated. I have always wondered if I should get such a skin exam as I am a natural blonde and once a year I would get a world class sunburn.

Made the cauliflower ricotta bake last night. Its creamy and mushy and a real comfort food. Plus leftovers for tonight.

Well welcome to California Diane O. Sunny weather, mud slides, fires, earthquakes, and up here in the redwoods, power outages when trees fall over. We have had far more rain than usual up here in the north though its welcome as the salmon need it in the rivers.

Devon hope you had a great birthday. Always nice to feel special.

Well off to another studio day. Never enough time to make all the stuff I want to. Much socializing and general goofing around goes on there, of course.

Well time for a second cup of coffee and a few paperwork chores before facing the world.  Diane S

Cauliflower ricotta bake? Is that recipe on Eggface's site? I've made regular ricotta bake, but this sounds good too.

203.  Downward. I noticed that I wake up excited to step on the scale to see a loss when I know I am eating well. It is so much better than the dread felt when eating poorly.  So yay for that!

Big argument with my daughter and son-in-law yesterday. My SIL drove with my grandsons in the car.  I told my daughter and him that I didn't think it was safe for him to drive and he should never take the boys.  This did not go over well, and I added fuel to the fire by telling them I reported his condition to the DMV who will be evaluating his ability to drive.  BOOM!  Not the way I intended for them to find out, but I was right.  If he were driving while impaired by drugs or alcohol, they would agree it was wrong.  Impaired is impaired.

She would not "let" me take the boys last night, so they stayed with their dad and apparently got to school. She has already called a few times today like nothing happened and I will probably pick up the boys tonight since she is still in the hospital.  She said "everybody is mad" at her.  I reminded her that she is overwhelmed and to let it go.  I guess her husband is mad at me, but I am mad at him so we are even.

I was prepared for work today with my peppers and plenty of drinks. My son is stir frying shrimp in a little butter and lots of garlic, with fresh spinach.  If I don't have the boys tonight, we will watch more episodes of the Walking Dead like we did last night.  (I talked to them on the phone to assuage some worry.)

Happy birthday Devon!

Good for you being down in weight and also in speaking your mind and doing something about the driving! You are braver than me (as you know). You are doing right by your precious grandsons.  Ultimately your daughter (and hopefully your SIL) will be glad.

You inspire me to set up the driving assessment for DH. He did agree to it the other day (though he may have forgotten). We talked about how errors in judgement while driving could hurt or kill someone.
