Wow - that is truly a thought provoking nightmare!
115.25; 2000 calories- DH and I went out for our Valentine's dinner last night at a waterfront restaurant. The meal was great and well worth the calories. My main meal was ahi tuna, so that was good, but we also shared a chick pea salad and creme brûlée. Then there was the bread and dipping...I was only going to have half a piece of bread, but it was warm and I had to fini****
DH and I had a good talk yesterday. Somewhat difficult at first, but then he settled down and admitted that a lot of his anger is frustration about not being able to do things that used to be so easy. He started off by accusing me of causing his driving problems because he is out of practice since I usually drive. I reminded him that he was driving essentially every day at home to familiar places like the food store and fitness center. After that we had a good talk. He asked me to show him an online Alzheimer's support site whi*****ludes forums for people where they discuss how they feel and cope, so I set it as a favorite on his iPad browser. We also talked about the importance of exercise. He has been doing water aerobics daily and can use the exercise room as well. His writing has really suffered (like his speech), which has been one of the worst things for him because he was always so fluent (in fact that was one of the "tools" of his trade as an attorney), so we talked about him potentially using a journal to practice writing. And many reminder notes are being posted.
Have a great Thursday!

So, it turns out I can rent a studio on the beach for a month, for basically the same price as this hotel for ten days. Many rentals take dogs, so this is a no brainer for my next visit !
I'm going to get a really long walk in today, as we are expecting historic rains and winds tomorrow into Saturday. The preparations they are making in mud slide prone areas are incredible ! Fires and mud slides... a whole different way of thinking !
Happy birthday, Devon ! Dinner pictures are glorious !! Liz, glad to hear you and DH had such a good talk.

What a strange dream Carbon! If I dreamt about a pie, it certainly wouldn't be a meat one - French Silk, Key Lime, Dutch Apple or Lemon Meringue perhaps!
136.4 = same.
Day off today. Not sure what is on the agenda. Probably some house cleaning and some bible study and some exercise. Will be making the lobster and shrimp "Valentine's" dinner tonight along with homemade Mac N Cheese for the boys.
Weather here is supposed to get nice over the weekend - high 50's. It won't last but will be a nice change for at least a few days!
Cold and windy. Have not been getting my exercise in :(
Went to the dermatologist yesterday for a full body check. I asked her to look at my upper lip. Sunburned them horribly on the island of Capri back in my early 20s, after a long night of partying, when I fell asleep in the sun for hours. I've had one small spot that peels continuously ever since - 35+ years. She looked at it and said "this is pre-cancerous, and deep", and proceeded to zap me with liquid nitrogen on and above my lip. Now it looks like I have the mother of all cold sores - blisters! Hideous! Glad I don't have any job interviews lined up! I've been trying to get all medical and dental appointments possible arranged for me and the kids before our good insurance ends the end of the month, and we go on Tricare Prime and Delta Dental. Thank God as a Navy retiree I have this as an option, since my job ended three days after sign-ups for the ADA ended, because who the h--l can afford COBRA!?! Am working madly on various other projects, and taking several online classes, too.
Dave, are you going to travel in the airstream, or just live in the woods in it? I have always wanted to travel in an RV! My folks did it fulltime for four years, and half time for many years thereafter.
