Weight 115 OTD, calories 1687. I slept well last night except for the 45-60 minutes I was awake blowing my nose. VERY congested last night. Tonight we are going to a restaurant for Valentines Day - I hope I can taste the food.
DH had a successful run to the food store with me in the morning (it is right around the corner). Then while I was working he tried to go find a car wash on his own. When I realized he was gone I tried to call him and discovered that he not only didn't have his phone, but also didn't have his wallet. I was going to give him an hour or two before calling the police (Port Charlotte is too big to go looking for people on your own), but then the office at our park called. He couldn't remember how to get in the front gate (gate opener is on the visor), so he parked the car at the gate and walked to the office. It's lucky he got back because it turns out that he can't remember our address here. So clearly it is going to be risky having the car here, but if he limits driving to the food store hopefully he will be okay. I made a sign for the garage door to remind him to take the phone and keys. I'm going to plug in the gps and add this address and the food store in the favorites. I'm also going to put information in the car with this address, phone numbers for the office and neighbors and instructions on using the gate opener and garage opener. I'm going to suggest that he shop early on the day as he definitely is better early rather than later. I know this isn't ideal, but I don't feel like I can take the car keys away yet. If we talk on the morning when his mind is more clear maybe we can come to some conclusions.
Anyway, that's my worry of the day. I hope you all have a wonderful day!

College night with DD was pretty interesting for all.
Liz, that experience yesterday with DH must have been gut wrenching. Joey, I keep hoping (as I am sure you do) that things finally turn the corner, maybe with another family member stepping up to give you meaningful help. DianeS, did you survive the root canal?
V. Day was uneventful here at home --- I only saw DH for about 10 minutes between work and school event. Candy was EVERYWHERE at work tho I suppose we are amateurs compared to a school environment. I didn't have any because once started the sheer availability would doom me.
Hug your skinny today,
Love, Shel

Valentine's Day here was nice, but not "dangerous." Hubby, who's the most organized guy in the world, showed up last Thursday with roses and a card and no candy. That's how he rolls -- early and just right. :) Yesterday I gave him a card and a small bag of Godiva truffles, which he loves. And they're all his. :)
The last two days I've been hungrier than usual. That's not surprising, since my calories were slightly lower the last few weeks. This is when I feel tracking helps me be more mindful and eat more nutritious food. My calculation is that whether I'm feeling physical hunger or "head hunger" I'll be sated by nutritious foods, not sugars+flours+oils. That's my theory, and I'm sticking to it.

Scales are in a basket in the old shop. I'll get them tomorrow. S#1 came up and towed it for us. We are moved and in the woods. Pictures may be a while. We don't have wifi yet so I'm doing this post on my phone. WiFi is first on our agenda. It will have to be satellite because even if we could get it locally service is so slow. Funny how dependent I have become on recent technology for connection, information and recreation. More later, David

Good question, David. That is probably true. We did have a decent talk about it last night and many notes are appearing in important places (including on the garage door and on the car).

Hi All. Just have time for a quick post, as I'm at work. Liz, my heart goes out to you, as it must have been such a difficult situation to go through.
Today, I took the steps to consciously feed my soul and start to shrink the monster in the process. I got ready early and stopped at the grocery store on the way to work, so I could stock the fridge in my office with the right stuff. Otherwise, I get really hungry, go to the convenience store down the street and make monster loving choices, even though they do have healthier options. I then start eating those monster feeders in the car on the way back to the office. The old OA saying to not get too hungry, angry, lonely or tired really is true. So far, my plan is working and I've eaten soul feeding foods.
Have a great Wednesday! Hugs, Mary
momsy, if you decide you would like to murder the monster and eliminate it from the universe, I'll help you commit the crime.
;)

I HAVE to plan good snacks (and eat them) especially when I am WFH and my head hunger/old bad habits keep trying to kick in.

Liz, I know I'm holding in emotions, but this made my eyes well up with tears. My dad went through this, but luckily it was after his driving days. I got him something like a life-alert button from Verizon that he wore around his neck (so it was never left home) and he could press the button and reach an operator who could either call someone on his list or call 911. We gave all of his medical information, etc. It also had GPS.
205. My grandsons had a great day at school, seem to be doing very well despite all the troubles. We had leftovers last night for dinner so they could spend time at the hospital with their mom. The doctors said that her scans were good, there is infection, but it's not as bad as it could be. She may be able to go home soon with oral antibiotics instead of the IV. Let's hope!
Food choices were difficult today, because I am out of peppers and low on supplies. I never run out of peppers and am taking everyone's advice to make some time for myself and will go to Costco tonight to stock up instead of driving by. Today, I had some Campbells sirloin burger soup that I bought for my son. It's not terrible, 120 cals, 7 g protein, 1.5 g fat, 4 g sugar. There are 2 servings per can which would be 14 g protein, but it's not looking like I will fit a whole can. Oh, I had a very small buttered roll for dipping, didn't fini**** but it was NOT on plan. Someone brought them in and put them out in the kitchen as I was thinking that crusty bread would be so good. I should've been thinking that $1,000 would be so good. At least I didn't touch any candy. Hashtag small victories are big
Also, as I replied to Ann on yesterday's post, I am also making plans to go on a date with an ex from 10 years back. He was very immature back then and appears to have grown up. We'll see.
