Good morning, Peeps!
No weight this morning. Kcal 1791 Protein 107, carbs 236 (!) fiber 40 (!!!) fat 53, sugar 111. F/v at least 7
So, I made the lentil stew yesterday. I went with one that had a hefty amount of sweet potatoes plus chipolte. It was pretty terrific. Also, a 1/2 cup of ice cream made an appearance on MFP. It just walked in like it owned the joint.
I am scared of carbs, fiber and sodium because it increases the number on the scale. It isn't fat; jus****er and bulk. So, really I am scared of a red digital number.
This isn't the primary reason I didn't weigh this morning but I certainly lacked my usual "I WANT TO KNOW" compulsion.
I am rather enjoying MFP for now tho I will only keep it up for another week or two. My calorie consumption is about what I thought but I was surprised at those high protein totals for my usual eats. So, trying to shift some of those calories elsewhere. Ice cream may not be the best choice :)
Have a Supah Saturday!

Greetings Great Buddies
Well at last we have a sunny day here in northern California. Lots of flooding in low areas around here but none affecting us. Land slides affecting various roads so good thing we are not going anywhere. I think we get a 3 or 4 day break before rains return. My sympathies to those of you in snow land.
Paula thinking of you on the ear thing. Guess there is nothing to be done but get on with it. Hope all goes well.
Liz I did the same thing before I retired - spent a year making plans and didn't tell anyone. Even when I announced I was retiring we still had to keep our California plans secret because of hubby's job. But we pulled it off and that was nearly 15 years ago. Stay the course.
Yay Sheri for beating up on the IRS. I used to do that as a tax lawyer years ago. They are not always right as you well know. After I retired my hobby became fighting with Blue Cross. Had to do that to get my surgery. Anyway, glad things are looking up for you. Skip the party if you don't feel like going.
133 today. The leftover Thai curry from the other night made dinners for both me and DH last night. Good and very filling.
Bought more lentils yesterday. What I make is super simple - cook the lentils in chicken broth and water along with carrots, celery, and some chopped up pork chop. Very filling.
May not have mentioned I got a jury summons. Have to call in today after 5 to see if I have to show up. Usually have to go sit there 3 hours until I can get myself excused. Monday is a holiday so I would have to show up Tuesday which is Valentines day and also root canal appointment day. Yuck. Here's to hoping they settle whatever case it is.
DH brought home most of a giant calzone that he ordered for lunch yesterday. Why on earth did he order such a thing? I guess its dinner tonight but I don't really want any of it. May be scrambled eggs instead.
Time to get busy and attend to chores. Coffee time is over. Diane S
So you were an attorney, Diane? DH was as well in his own practice. Last night he was telling me how much he misses how his mind used to work in researching issues and presenting facts. His personality is still mostly intact, but his inability to remember much affects his ability to read, to have a conversation, and even to watch a movie. He had no choice but to retire when it started affecting his ability to work.

Adjusting to west coast time ! Walked miles with my daughter this morning. Great pool and health facility here too. No scale here for ten days, but I'm planning on being 129-134 when I get home.
Along with no scale, I've decided NO work email. Even knowing my mailbox will be jammed when I get home... I'll act retired for these ten days !!!
