Hi Peeps,
Another day, another....
I am hyper aware today about how "broken" I am in the food department today. A club I belong to, but am not active in any longer, is having a Specialty Show next Friday. A one time friend who also had WLS is flying in from the east for the show and I will see her at the show. I actually spent some time worrying about what she would think when she saw me with the weight I have gained. I spent a moment or 10 wondering if I could just not go so she wouldn't see me. Sad, right? But, oh so true...
Being an addict sucks on so many levels.
On the bright side, I never, ever give up!
Those instincts about hiding are not healthy for us. Good for you on never giving up!

Oh how I hate the urge to avoid, and yes being an addict does suck! Glad you're still going Devon (or at least it sounds that way). I have spent so much of my life avoiding - people, photos, activities, you name it, because of my weight, and it just made me keep gaining. I think this is true for so many of us. I have found that facing things turns out not to be nearly as bad as I had imagined, and, in the end of it, doing so feeds my soul, not the monster. I'll be pulling for you! Hugs, Mary
115. Quick note as I head out the door to work - wearing a spring dress to lift my spirits for Feb winter blues. Nevertheless, I'm finding my groove again.
Not that I need to lose weight per se, but as an effort to encourage my daughter, I'm thinking of offering to do a one week liquid protein 'reset' with her to give her an opportunity to get back on course. It won't kill me, right? Right?? Haha. I'm not a general supporter of this method so far out from surgery, but she did very well with it pre surgery for what I remember as about six weeks. I won't do it if she doesn't agree though - not a sucker for punishment.
Paula my heart hurts for you. It's just a brief chapter.
Peace and hope

Greetings Dear Ones
133 and fiddle dee dee on that. Last night's dinner out didn't help. Ate some grilled oysters but also some of hubby's pasta curry. Boy does that stuff slide. Gotta just stay away from it entirely.
But jeez, I should count my blessings. So sorry for your issues Paula. Take care of the ear thing which I know you will. Wish I had some good advice about DS. I don't suppose some counseling for you on how to deal with this would help or maybe you have done that.
Liz stay out of that boat with the neighbors for the time being! I would claim sea sickness (not a lie). And GL on the review and bonus.
Well the dentist says I need another root canal. Oh fudge. Need that like a hole in the head. Oh wait, it IS a hole in the head or at least in a tooth.
Carbon, I wish you could get some snow relief. Seems like you have had more than your share. But shoveling snow is exercise big time. Don't hurt yourself.
More rain here today. If it were freezing here we would probably have 10 feet of snow. Enough already.
Yeah its the time of the year when everybody is a little down in the dumps. Days and days of grey skies make us gloomy. We have been invited to Mexico in the summer. Just can't take any trips until things are resolved with my mom. We all need to accept the moment and maintain hope for the future.
Little Turbo Tesla is sleeping peacefully, hubby is out fixing a friend's computer and I am about to get a second cup of my favorite yummy coffee. Life is good for this old girl. Diane S
150.4 today. Can hardly believe it!! Stopped drinking wine last Friday, and have lost almost 5 pounds since. Haven't seen the 140's since about 2002. Of course, I am also totally stressed and have to set a timer to remind myself to eat properly. Surviving on 1 protein shake, 1 protein bar, a clementine and whatever the kids are having for dinner, less the carbs, plus coffee and water. No problem getting the water in, thankfully. Last night dinner was Chinese BBQ Ribs and yu choy. I'm teaching the girls to cook! :)
Dad's knee re-replacement surgery on Tuesday was apparently successful, and he and Mom went home late yesterday.
I'm working up a 100 day plan to change my life. I do NOT want to go back to DoD contracting. 30 years working for the government is ENOUGH. I have an entrepreneurial streak that I've successfully acted upon on the past, and now it's back with a vengeance. Tired of working for other people's mortgages. The kids are onboard.
Have a batch of yogurt in the dehydrator - need to set a timer for that. First time using the dehydrator to make yogurt.
Dave, I'm a sometime beekeeper; can't have hives where we currently live, unfortunately, but someday!
