Paula, Like many life events, this may be a blessing in the long run for many of the reasons you have enumerated. Plus, WI is beautiful in the summer and FL is way too hot!

Thin Thursday, Mates!

My internal calendar is thrown off with snow days on Mon and Tue.  Even tho I worked, it certainly wasn't normal.   Now, our usual winter rain and flooding is back with a vengeance.  Feels good.   It is supposed to get into the 50's later today which is hard to imagine.

Didn't yoga yesterday.  Time management user error.

122's.  kcal: 1462, protein 117, fat 55,  carb 130, sugar 72, fiber 27 (ooo, ahhh), f/v about 5

Sheri, hope your dad is doing well.

DianeS, I feel like I am channeling you today as I crave lentil soup/stew.

Ann, I think you should stream your talk.  ;)

Linda, hope you are feeling better.  Dave, how exciting to finally move into that Airstream!

Have a great day, all!

Shel

Having a tough morning. Weight is up 2 lbs overnight. More rain today. Just feeling a bit blue...

Good news is the cold seems to be finally waning - just some minor congestion and I was able to sleep a solid 4.75 hours without waking up. That's pretty good for me! (I generally wake up 2-3 times per night - hard nights more.)

Glad everyone seems to be doing well! It is heartening to read!

Glad the cold finally on its way out.  Such a drag as it goes on day after day.  Hoping the sun comes out for you!

Glad you are feeling better.  Anything with psudoephphedrine in it makes me so down I wish for my cold back.  Hope that's not the case with you.

115. Feeling a little better - out of bed today but very grateful to be home!  Moving slowly but that's alright because there's nothing pressing I have to take care of. I'm thankful for that. Joey, I really feel for you with all the pressure you're under :(.

My evening calorie consumption is still not completely in check but I know I must accomplish that to maintain in my comfort zone. Maybe this minor illness will help with a reset. Interestingly, I started the day with a slice of heavy rye bread and butter!  Something I rarely eat but it felt right this morning. I must say it was delicious so glad the loaf is almost gone (no I didn't eat it lol)

I'm sure I'm still skinny but my off plan evening eating is leaving me feeling 'fat and afraid'. So important for me to weigh daily and know the truth. I tend to over estimate the scale damage and can easily move into 'all is lost' thinking. Again I'm reminded that my body works in my favour and it is not the enemy. Instead, it does its best to maintain equilibrium as I dance around the truth. I know there will be a hard consequence if I don't clean up my act. But in the moment, I still toss truth out the window. 'Alternate facts'???

Greetings Cyber Family

Of the sites I check each morning, this is my favorite. When I watch the new and they predict horrible storms in various places, I think of those of you who live there. My sympathies to all of you who are snowed in or about to be. We are from Nebraska and I remember those days so well. When my husband told his co workers he was moving to California they all said "great" and "can I buy your snow blower?"

Paula, some things are not meant to be and I am sorry Florida is not working out. But you are right - more trips to Maui.

Linda glad you are feeling better. You too, Devon. The cold and flu season has been horrible around here. We had our gallery board meeting last night and one member had a cold and she was kind enough to sit 10 feet away from the rest of us.

Diane O, good time to go to California though I hope its So Cal as No Cal is rain. "Rain rain, go away, we are sick of days of grey". Tee Hee

Went to the dentist yesterday for this little lump on my gum. Turns out its a failed root canal and will have to be redone. Curses. He was ready to do it right then and there but I had board meeting to attend. So will have it done Valentines day. Oh goody.

Gallery duty yesterday. Rained all day and no visitors. Danced around to Motown music. Lucky Liz in Florida.

Well lets hear about the speech Ann. Hope all was well.

Yep, primary school teachers deserve more money. If they don't do a good job it costs so much for so many  for a lifetime.

Dinner out with friends tonight at the new fish restaurant. Tax time is approaching. Lots to do there for us and galleries.

Peace and warmth and lentil stew to all.  Diane S

So glad I don't have 14" of snow.  To shovel or travel in.  Our weather 70's in the daytime and 29 at night for a couple of days.  That has got to be confusing to my bees.

Stressful day today.  Packing.  Trashed some things I had at 14.  Haven't used them. Don't need them. Stress throwing them out.  A lot of head scratching about what to do with stuff.  I ran out of boxes.  And room in my trash can.  Moved more items, including the coffee production, into the Airstream.  All of the little cubbies are filling up.  It is expected stress.

Hoping everyone is feeling better everyday.

More later, David

Paring down (possessions or otherwise) is not easy, but I bet you will feel so much lighter when you are done!
