Love the MFP quote.  The word "savor" has been on my mind the last couple of days.  I am also grateful for VSG and this group for propelling me forward.

LOL about changing packing behavior for trips.  The old tapes are certainly there so very easy to compare then and now!

Have a great trip.  It is a perfect time to escape to (hopefully) sunny California.  Enjoy that daughter!

Ocean -- I love your thoughts and your meditation about gratitude.  Feeling grateful fills me with immense joy.  It's an effective antidote to so many things that need anti-doting.  :)

134.2 - down so Yay! Did just over an hour of exercise yesterday - walk and jog DVD and another walk and strength training DVD. Both do intervals of fast walking/steps and either jogging or lifting weights.

Good eating day yesterday - almost perfect ratio of Carbs, Fats and Protein. Still too many calories for weight loss mode but I'm doing better!

Work today. Hopefully DH will get potential salary numbers today so we can decide if a move is in our future or not. This not knowing has been stressing me out big-time!

Macros from yesterday:

Calories: 1,452 Carbs: 162 Fat: 55 Protein: 129 Sodium: 2,803 Sugar: 25

Love your activity!  I have been a slug the last couple of days but looking forward to moving the muscles today, esp after reading your post.

Fingers crossed for generous financial package form the Florida folks. But, like you said, just knowing one way or another would decrease stress.  What is your perfect ratio for macros?  I don't really have one (tho I am tickled when fat beats everything else by accident on occasion) but super curious what is Paula-perfect.

Morning all.

Sheri, just a comment about jobs.   We had just been talking about that and how much we have learned about life in each one.   Huge advantage.  Nerve racking while doing the search though.  All the best.

Visitors for the past three days have left, they were vegetarians and so that was a challenge.   Great family.

travelling today to be with a friend for a medical appt, going to be a very long day, as the clinic is four hours away.

Walked for three hours yesterday and it was so good to be outside, just plain walking and not shovelling snow.

Happy Wed !

Busy day yesterday - thus no check in.

Weight down 1 pound.

Sort of feeling defeated by the DeVos confirmation. A first year teacher in CA has to demonstrate more expertise in the field than DeVos has. It is also terribly disheartening that she has shown utter disdain for teachers and publicly decried our exorbitant salaries. Okay, I exaggerate, but she has said as a group she believes we are overpaid. Off my soapbox.

On Monday, I was successful in getting in 3 servings of fruit and two servings of vegetables, albeit VSG size - 1 tangerine, ½ cup blueberries, 1 very small banana, 1 cup of salad, ¼ cup green beans. Yesterday, I did not have such success, because I did not have access to fresh food most of the day. I did have a nice salad at dinner. Today I have three pieces of fruit with me and I plan on a large salad this evening.

My cold is still hanging on, but is getting better. A morning dose of DayQuil seems to be helping me, so I will keep that up for now. I woke up last night hacking from either postnasal drip or reflux or bronchial congestion. Whatever it was I felt like I was choking for a split second and there was something in the back of my throat. Just would like to be done with this. Everyone says this is a three-week bug, so I'm just about halfway through.

I was watching a stupid TV show last night. One of the characters mentioned that being a good leader involved never losing sight of the mission. That struck me as similar to WL. To stay on track it's really important to always keep the goal in the forefront of one's thinking. I must get better at that.

Glad to see everyone seems to be doing well.

Umm not that it's any form of consolation for the Devos confirmation, but rumour has it that Palin is going to be Canadian ambassador!
